Howard Eskin is on the local sports radio here giving another update.

He purposely missed his flight to AZ because the meeting with KC went so well. He's not sure yet if he will be going to Arizona.

He likes KC, he's thinking about it. Andy Reid told him SD is still in the mix.

Howard Eskin said his gut feeling from talking to Andy Reid is that Arizona's chances are fading and it is probably between SD and KC right now.

Howard Eskin said Andy Reid didn't seem excited about Arizona from talking to him. Thinks it is down to SD and KC. KC has ownership Reid really likes, but Reid has always wanted to go back home. So it will get interesting.

Oh sure, there is always a way. I just didn't hear it in Clark's words or voice yesterday. Clark was ignorant to ALOT of what was going on until this year. I think as time has gone on and he learned more he has grown more and morempissed off. I am calling it now, Scott is done in KC.

Well, first of all, I have no idea why people want him. People confuse the spread offense with aggressiveness.

In reality, Chip Kelly is playing Martyball and using the spread to create space.

Second, I'm not sure why anybody would continue to hope that Clark would hire a guy that completely doesn't fit what he said he wants in a coach. Nth at raises the possibility he was lying, which in turn raises the possibility that he was lying about Pioli too.

I think Howard Eskin was paraphrasing. I edited "we" to "they" to not get you guys overexcited. I didn't want to imply it was a wink wink done deal, because it is not.

He called into the local sports station to give an update. It was more detailed because there were no time constraints unlike with the FOX report.

It is certainly going to be an interesting decision to watch if Reid gets hired. Mort said this morning that his gut feel was that Pioli would be canned if Reid got the job, but also pointed out that Belichick and Reid are real close, and that Reid has a strong respect for Pioli. So who knows. But my money would be on Scott being out...

This is not some small time source. He's a credible source. Pretty cool to hear.

I do not care about the spread offense, I care about the way he calls/ manages games. Sure, some part of his offense will carry over but, I do not think it practical the entire scheme would.

And again, I am not sold on the fact that Kelly doesn't fit the mold. He may have a little growing into the position to do but, so will a rookie QB in his role. I am ok with that. If we are going to change the way we do things at the top, why not change the way we do things on the field as well?

And very well could go either way. As a life long Chiefs' fan I naturally expect it to go the wrong way. I am tired of thinking like that. I am at the point where I expect the best or I am walking away. I do not want to walk away so I will try and be positive until I am given reason not to.
