Looks like Nevada and Moundville, MO both caught twisters bright and early this morning.

Been following the damage to my hometown on FB this morning. Thankfully it doesn’t appear that any died. The real damage is about 10 miles away in Moundville where I spent a lot of my summers growing up. Town of about 120 people lost the service station that’s been there for at least 50 years, which now means the nearest fuel and repair service is 10 miles away. Looks like the Post Office made it, but there are a lot of missing roofs. It’s just odd looking at damage to stuff that’s been there as long as you can remember.

Owasso OK (north of Tulsa) got hit early this morning (around 6:00 or so) at the N96th and Garnett area. Several houses with roof damage and whatnot, but luckily no injuries reported. Most likely in the same line of storms as Nevada and Moundville, just further southwest.

Pretty sure it was the same line. I think NWS released the Vernon County Tornado warning at 7:15.

It was probably closer to 7, that's when I got up and turned on the TV and Owasso was just ending (tornado warning ended around 7:15), except for the damage reports of course.

ABC nightly news said "storm of the century" or some shit.

Slow moving, tornadoes and severe storms, flooding expected. Stay safe anyone that way.

Watching a storm chasing channel on YouTube. This looks absolutely brutal

The weather here on TV said it was the highest tornado probability forecast that they have seen ever.

Sassy Squatch 04-02-2025 05:52 PM
