I hope you're right but I wonder if the comments about Skyy making a leap forward and believing Toney could be our #1 were meant to boost those players confidence a bit.

They wouldn't put them on the field if they didn't think they could produce at a high level. This team expects to compete for the Super Bowl every season.

I want to believe you, but CEH is still on the team... and I still can't come up with a good reason why.

Have you ever worked with someone who joined your company with an amazing reputation and they are super likeable in person, but absolutely suck at their job? That's CEH.

Still on the team, but demoted to a minor role. There's nothing wrong w/ CEH as the 3rd back. And next year he's gone.

He's been demoted to the third back. He's fine for that. He's pretty good at the scramble drill, he's just not a plus player, so he's a disappointment as a first round pick.

I really think it's as simple as all of the youngsters were just trying too hard to make up for Kelce being out. If they just settle down and do their job, they'll all be fine.

While I didn't say anything close to that, I was a big believer early on that not having a cheat code like Tyreek on the team would actually make Mahomes even more dangerous by turning him into a spread-it-around QB.

So I don't know about Tyreek not being good. But his absence turning the Chiefs into a more dangerous team? Absolutely, I still buy into that.

Don't get me wrong, I'd take back Tyreek without a second thought, but I sure as hell wouldn't pay what we got from the Dolphins.

This. If they were forced to shoulder the load late in the season instead, it might've been different.

Now with Kelce back they can grow within the offense without the pressure of him not being there.

If they honestly thought Skyy was going to produce at a JAG/Meh level (but hoped for better), who are they putting on the field instead?

Skyy sucks at tracking the ball. We saw it when he was fielding punts, and when in the 4th and 25.

Oh I thought Hill had all the talent in the world. But I certainly suggested that he might become a locker room distraction at best and an on field distraction at worst.

I had doubts Miami was going to get decent return given what they paid in draft picks and salary. But so far, pretty good for them.

You’d be essentially giving up Karlaftis, Moore, Connor and Coburn

He does until he doesn't my friend. The only thing that alarms me is Patrick appeared to have trusted Pringle and D-Rob more than Skyy. With all certainty we know Skyy is more talented than those two.

Do we? Or maybe it depends on what you mean by talent.

Skyy doesn't seem all that talented attacking zone in the NFL yet.

Or for instance, D-Rob seems to me that he was more talented on the scramble drill than Skyy has shown so far.

Hopefully he improves. But I'm not super optimistic.
