Jalen Ramsey was the only good defensive player traded. All of these other guys are JAG’s.

We already got guys like them. None of those guys are any better than Breeland or Claiborne.

Do we really even needed draft picks? Veach has done phenomenal when it comes to UDFA! He’s gotten more out of the 2018 UDFA then the 2018 draft class

And Veach has a iffy record when it comes to drafting defensive players as well. I think it would be ridiculous if he doesn't at least try and get a line-baker tbh. And I still think William Jackson would be a very good addition to this secondary.

Minkah would have helped

Slay isn’t better than Breeland or Claiborne? Please.

And how the hell were we supposed to get him when the Steelers were offering a fairly high 1st?

Slay actually seems like an interesting candidate for the Chiefs. I just don't know if the Lions would be willing to part with him and then it seems like he's gonna give you problems wanting to restructure his contract or extend it as he held out some this offseason.

Chris Harris makes sense also but he plays for a divisional rival and I get the feeling Elway will be asking too much for a player about to be a FA.

I dunno 🤷*♂️

Is Slay even up for grabs?

Yeah, but he's 30 ... and nothing says the team acquiring him can't agree to a new deal once getting him. Heard the Eagles are interested.

He nailed the Sanders and Sanu trades a day before it happened...

But I get called a ****ing reerun for suggesting the exact same thing...

Must like the secondary quite a bit.

They are playing well...

They really are. We will definitely need a CB next year but Veach has FA and the draft for that. Linebacker is what I would focus on right now. Question is I don’t know if there are any strting LBs out there that you can trade for

I was sure I'd seen him post that the Chiefs were looking rather for CB/LB.

I've really wanted a good CB for this SB run but I've pretty much come to accept Veach won't be trading for a CB as the price for that position seems to be very high especially that you've got big competition from at least the Eagles who have higher expected draft picks. And if you're going to trade for a CB, it needs to be for a significantly better player than Bashaud Breeland and Claiborne.

That was awhile ago and after the Ramsey trade and the Cards saying no to PP. Veach probably decided he has to look elsewhere for help. I don’t think we need any help on the DL. LB for sure could use some help
