Draft and develop your own WR's. Andy has done it a lot, it'll happen more with a more aggressive QB.

I'd maybe take a flyer on a low end WR but meh to spending big money there.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing but the Eagles just won the Super Bowl with 2 free agent starting WR's.

Yeah, but I think that's more outlier than anything. Plus it's not like Torrey Smith was a big role type guy there.

Jeffrey was good though.

If they wanna go big for a WR, I won't be mad. I just think it's money spent better elsewhere.

Well, which do you prefer and why? I've seen a lot of guys on here champion Conley or Wilson on CP, we took notice when Robinson and Mahommes showed some chemistry. They're each pretty good, but none of them have done anything special yet and fanbases across the NFL are not exactly clamoring for their services.

They redid like half their team. I don’t think we've Seen such an impressive offseason by a GM like this in a long time.

Nick Foles
LaGarrette Blount
Jay Ayaji
Alshon Jeffrey
Torrey Smith
Derek Barnett
Chris Long
Timmy Jernigan
Rasul Douglas
Ronald Darby
Patrick Robinson
Corey Clement

I’m wondering if Veach might take an approach like this

O.city 02-22-2018 02:27 PM

The signings like Chris Long are what the Chiefs need to hit on. Low cost effective players. Obviously.

Interesting note: the Chiefs put in a waiver claim for Bruce Ellington when he was released.

Well, keep in mind that Chris Long had already earned more than $70 million dollars before signing a cheap deal with the Patriots, in which he won a Super Bowl, and with Philly, with whom he won a Super Bowl. Plus, he donated his 2017 salary to charity.

Guys like that are far and few between.

Yeah, but just guys that are under the radar pass rushers.

It's somewhat interesting that the Eagles chose not to re-sign Connor Barwin, who went to the Rams, but signed Long on a fairly cheap deal.

Their 2017 numbers are almost identical. Same number of sacks (5 each).

Yeah, interesting.

I think guys like Galette are set up to provide some good value with having to pay them less, if they'll take it.

Older pass rusher seems to be a good place to find value if you have enough other guys that they don't have to play a lot.

And yet Veach passed on James Harrison and Dwight Freeney.

That, coupled with Hali's age and awful ROI may signal that he's just not interested in older pass rushers.

True.

And **** they could have helped in the playoffs.

Basically anything to get Zombo off the field I'm good with. The front 7 needs remade a lot.

He's an RFA coming off of hamstring surgery
