Alex Smith has a few good years left in him. So do not draft a QB just yet.

He's not going to get any work till after camp, won't know shit in result and will take another year beyond that to really bounce back. That's what we want from our 2nd round pick? |

The latest reports that I have seen suggested that Sidney Jones expects to be ready by the start of the season, but to be on the conservative side I would guess he wouldn't be a starter type player til mid-season.
For a 2nd round pick, I think that's definitely worth it if he is as good as he was projected to be. |

Guy blew out his achilles 5 weeks ago. The season will start less than 6 months from the date of his injury. Get the **** outta here, Sidney. Maybe he starts on the PUP, gets moved to the IR with a 'designated to return' tag and can be back by week 12 or something. Maybe. But c'mon - the kid's not coming back from a ruptured achilles in 6 months to play CB as a rookie. A lineman would have a damn hard time even approaching that timeline. He's almost certainly a 2017 write-off. Anybody that tells you otherwise is selling something. |
Not taking him in 2nd. 3rd, yes.

Wouldn't consider it till Saturday.

I would absolutely take Sidney Jones in the 2nd round, it's basically a first round pick in 18 with using a 2nd round pick. Like you said its a deep draft for cb so I'd draft two anyways. Also, we're not winning shit in 17 because of Alex Smith to I'm fine with him sitting and spending a year with our coaches.

**** I'm glad I abandoned this place the second Smiff was done ruining our season 4 months ago. I can't take this stupidity again until September. :D |
