1 good year in 100 is better than none. But good luck!

Good luck on what? My primary team is ND who has accomplished more in CFB last year than KU ever has. Good luck on being relevant again one day.

Believes what to be true?

That a BCS trophy you won when the recruit was 8 years old and followed it up with a decade of abject misery means jack and shit to said recruit?

No, I guarantee you I'm not alone in this.

I'm sorry, but today's 10 yr olds aren't going to give a rip about the trophy you guys won back when your conference still had 12 teams and the BCS was considered a legitimate entity any more than they'll care about the Orange Bowl that Mizzou won before the BCS existed.

I think some of you are going to be a bit disappointed by what this playoff really is. These bowls are all staying. The same bowls (Rose, Orange, Sugar, Fiesta) will all still be head and shoulders above the rest.

Not really. Like I said a new recruit could care less what any team did 5 years ago when they were still in middle school. All they care about is the here and now, how much playing time they are going to get, and how much money you are going to pay them.

Everyone knows the bowls are staying but the championship game will be decided like the Final Four is.

I'm just happy my school is on one side of the fence and well, yours isn't.

So if I understand the batshit argument of the day...
A) wins and losses, as well as recruit rankings, are no proof that KU hasn't done shit to build off their bullshit BCS appearance.

And

B) once they are at some level above "absolute embarrassment," all KU has to do is point to said bullshit BCS bid to make them nationally relevant.

Once again, records don't mean shit.

Here's the funny thing - if you remove the editorializing, your statement is a 100% accurate re-statement of their position and still equally absurd. Witness:

That is as completely benign as you can make that statement and it perfectly mirrors what they're saying right now.

And it's absolutely ****ing insane.

No, the lesson of the day is that MU desperately wants a BCS game, which they should because they are awesome.

Some here attempt to diminish them simply because it is an accomplishment that KU has over them in football. It's one of the themes of these threads that we've come to know and love.

And others choose to vastly overstate their impact because it's the only accomplishment that KU has over them in football.

Yet another theme we've all become quite familiar with...

MU "desperately" wants the best bowl game it can get to, just like every team every year. Has nothing to do with Kansas.
MU FANS want KU idiots to choke on vomit due to their smugness about going to a bowl they didn't deserve. MU fans also realize that soon the BCS will be about as relevant as Fox's glowing puck, New Coke, and Charlie Weis' gastric bypass procedure.

nah there are others. KU has more in the Football Hall of Fame.

Bambi 11-25-2013 10:13 PM

MU has more bowls and all time wins.
