Yeah... so far I've been working the Aveline Shield Bash/Pommel Blow/Aftershock upgrades to stagger them, then some heavy Hawke and Merrill Chain Lightning. Damn that's fun... Guess I didn't notice that Anders Paralyzing Prison also took advantage of Stagger, I'll get on that too.

Haven't really used Varric other than the Deeproads, though. I'm rolling with Mage Hawke, Anders, Merrill, and Aveline. This seems to be working pretty well for me. I'm maxed out Elemental, and Merrill is maxed out Primal. We be slayin some bitches......... :D

anything that slows,staggers,freezes is usually worth the investment imo.

love her Back-to-Back skill ... send her charging in with Rush skills let and have her use up all her skills and attracting all the attention ... boom back-to-back and *poof* she is outa there while my mages brutalize the masses.

Aveline's quest in act 2 is freaking hilarious.

Started playing again last night. I got a new video card and low and behold, performance sucks on some Nvidia cards. Apparently they are working on a fix.

I'm doing Merrill's act 2 quest, and I decided to respec her for primal and blood magic (her tree), and holy shit she's a beast.

Just finished Merrill's romance, and thought it (meaning 'the scene') was better done than anything in Origins. And her new outfit after looks freaking awesome.

I'm not ashamed to admit that the scene turned me on a little bit...

Finished up act 2 last night. Uh, wow. Glad I avoided spoilers. And glad the act ending fight wasn't as bad as act 1's.

Man I'm glitched to all hell right now. I have what looks like both the Maker's Sigh glitch (I respecced before/after the Arishok - now I don't get the 100 fortitude bonus from Unshakeable), the Sebastian glitch (my damage resistance is currently -55%, which doesn't really matter to a mage who never gets hit...) and now I'm standing in Merrill's house with Varric standing in the doorway. Varric isn't in my party.

lmao, I dropped back to casual to re-do the Arishok and the quests I had done up to the point where I realized I had 0 Fortitude with Unshakeable) and it was literally twice as fast as Nightmare, and I think I looted more potions and injury kits than I had the entire 80+ hours previous.

w00t. Now I can play again. Nvidia has released beta drivers.

So I haven't picked this game up in a few weeks now --- I just simply lost interest after putting nearly 20 hours into it.
I've had the urge to play through Mass Effect 2 again with the new DLC.. This tells me that DA2 has been a let down.
Skyrim will save us.
