****ing 200 year old Jared Cook punked Murray in Oakland last year, not once, but multiple times.

There is absolutely no guarantee that Eric Berry's body will allow him to play 16+ games this season so it's imperative that sign or draft someone better than those two mooks.

Nothing really keeping them from getting in the safety market at this point, but looks like the draft is where they'll turn for that.

Problem is they need both. I don't think going into the season with what they've got on the DL is a good idea either.

I wonder how they feel about Leon McQuay

They've gotten by with bandaid safeties in the past but they don't seem interested in the decent young ones out there.

Yeah I personally see S and CB as a bigger need than DE or NT.

The Franchise 03-19-2018 01:38 PM

I would rank it as:

1. S
2. DE
3. LG
4. CB
5. NT

I think they're all needs of fairly equal importance, just that for some reason it seems easier to find safeties and CB's than it does DL.

I know a lot of people on CP have been clamoring for Tre Boston but his market is weak because he's seen as more of a coverage safety.

The only proven D-lineman on the roster are Bailey, Jones and Jenkins. Hamilton flashed a little last year and the other guys were all signed to Futures Contracts, so they may not even make the 53.

They definitely need to acquire two more talented D lineman.

I think Eric Reid would be a great fit next to Berry but for obvious reasons I'm skeptical there.

Boston wouldn't be a bad idea as a coverage safety as they need some of those too.

I'd say Vaccarro and Eric Reid would be two nice signing.

I'm hoping we trade up for his brother. Justin Reid would help this team out immensely.

Allen Bailey isn’t a starting caliber DL?

Maxed out player with a history of injury. All teams had to do was take out Jones last year and the defensive line was ineffective.

O.city 03-19-2018 01:47 PM

With how they play nickel safety/lb, Reid would actually be a great add.

Titty Meat 03-19-2018 01:48 PM

Reid's brain is scrambled

They can't pay starter's money to a guy that's only going to play on 3rd down.

Boston really isn't a 3 down safety, which is why teams aren't chomping at the bit to sign him.

Eric Reid already believes he's being blackballed by the owners, so he's definitely off the Chiefs radar.

Vaccaro would be a decent fit for the the right price but I wouldn't sell the farm to acquire him.

I don't think any of these safeties are getting much of a deal with the safety market being depressed like it is.

Teams throw more now than ever so Boston wouldn't have to come off the field very often.

O.city 03-19-2018 01:52 PM

There's not really anyone out there in free agency that's gonna be a superstar at this point, unless you get in the Suh market or maybe Pouncey.

But there's some fillers that could be decent signings which is what the Chiefs need on D.
