There's no doubt that they need at least one more DL but it's not the #1 priority.

Hankins signed a 3 year, $27 million dollar deal last year with $10 million guaranteed and was cut 1 year into that deal.

If the Chiefs want to duplicate that deal, they can. Nothing's stopping them, unless they don't want to pay that much to a player that will be on his third team in three years.

I think beefing up the front 7 is more of a priority as it can cover for the back end more than vice versa.

There must be something going on with Hankins though, because he was pretty good for the Colts last year and the whole "he doesn't fit the scheme" thing seems weird.

I'm totally fine with them bringing in Xavier Williams as the NT. Then go draft a couple of defensive linemen to play end in the base package and move inside for the sub packages. This team needs ****ing safeties....and bad. We not only need a starting safety next to Berry but we need to start finding Berry's replacement.

I don't think there's any defensive lineman available that can cover for Eric Murray and/or Sorensen.

****ing 200 year old Jared Cook punked Murray in Oakland last year, not once, but multiple times.

There is absolutely no guarantee that Eric Berry's body will allow him to play 16+ games this season so it's imperative that sign or draft someone better than those two mooks.

Yep and the Chiefs can move on from Berry in 2019 if necessary, with a fairly minimal Dead Cap hit.
