I think we should keep all our picks unless we give up like 4th rounder for Shenault. We need to add as much talent as possible. We've been WAY too top heavy the last couple of years.

Im actually losing interest in him. Burks is a freak, but Watson's quickness and top end speed with that kind of size? He may not have the power and thickness of Burks, but that kind of speed and quickness with that kind of size is rare.

Burks in our offense would be very interesting.

When ESPN said he compares to AJ Brown and Deebo, I don't see Brown, he reminds me more of Deebo.

A freak that you just feed the ball to.

If Veach makes all 12 picks as they stand now, I'll leave the forum for the rest of the offseason.

Those picks are disposable income, and can and should be used in a variety of ways to get the best value in return.

Sure....and put up 800 yards and 7 TDs against lesser competition. No thanks. At least not in the 1st round.

I was watching this in bed last night and it sold me on Watson. I think he's going to be good. That kind of twitch on a guy that big?

Bleh. College stat/production is one of the least valuable metrics imo.

Honestly I hope it is. He'd be a nice piece in this offense IMO.

Me too. Low comp also.

I'd rather the Chiefs aggressively use their draft capital to trade up in the first round and draft one of those stud WR's... there are like SIX WR's projected to go in the first round of the draft.

The only other veteran WR free agent I think the Chiefs should add is someone to help provide depth that is cheap... someone like a Sammy Watkins.

the problem is there aren't any bonafide "studs" in this class like last season.

Of course any of them could become a stud, but this class is viewed as deep, high-floor and lower ceiling than last year.

For instance I don't think anyone believes a Jamarr Chase exists in this class. You may as well let one of them fall to you.

that said my preference would be Jameson Williams sliding to us

Exactly.

Go take a look at WR draft history in R1 and see how many were actually worth it.

Hint: Not many.

In the last two drafts though there have been guys like Chase, Waddle, Jefferson and Lamb all drafted in the first round.

If the Chiefs have a WR graded in that similar caliber on their board, I think they should be as aggressive as possible in trading up to get them.

Especially with a team like Green Bay who also needs a WR1 and who also has two first round draft picks involved as well.

Titty Meat 03-29-2022 11:23 AM

Lockett makes the most sense you still grab a WR in the 2nd or 3rd

OnTheWarpath15 03-29-2022 11:26 AM

For every one of those guys that panned out, there are 2+ Josh Doctson/N'Keal Harry's out there.

Trading up and then whiffing would destroy any value we received in the Hill trade.

Especially when it would take the same/less to trade for someone in their mid 20's and proven.

If O-city were Chiefs GM they wouldn't even have to attend the draft, and the average age of the team would be 35.

ToxSocks 03-29-2022 11:28 AM

I don't think they trade up for a WR. For a number of reasons. I could see them trade up for a DE though. I personally dont think they trade up at all.
