How could you not want that for cheap? Pretty sure he’s $13 million this year

These arguments are not without merit but I don't trust someone his size, his age, and with his concussion history.

What are we doing here?

I've gone on record against trading for Metcalf. I think McLaurin would be cheaper and cost less when it comes to draft picks.

Metcalf isn't getting $30M.

And if he told Seattle he was expecting that type of money, he'd already have been traded.

I'd rather the Chiefs aggressively use their draft capital to trade up in the first round and draft one of those stud WR's... there are like SIX WR's projected to go in the first round of the draft.

The only other veteran WR free agent I think the Chiefs should add is someone to help provide depth that is cheap... someone like a Sammy Watkins.

We are doing nothing but dreaming and speculating on things that are probably <10% probability.

Veach is kicking ALL tires as he should be doing as a GM.

Reports are reporting.

That's all.

O.city 03-29-2022 11:05 AM

One of these WR's going early will end up being really good. Maybe 2. Which ones? Who knows.

I don't think the Chiefs should trade the capitol to go up and get one.

Does not fit the Chiefs Way.

Too old, too much mileage. He'll be 29 when the season starts, which, for the Chiefs, is old.

The Franchise 03-29-2022 11:06 AM

And everyone is looking at guys like Metcalf....but that's not what the report said.

DK would be awesome but it makes NO SENSE. After trading Tyreek away we would have to give up the picks we got for him. After playing a season with Mahomes, DK would probably get MORE money than Tyreek.

This is why Franchise is saying no and everyone has to see this.

Exactly.

Go take a look at WR draft history in R1 and see how many were actually worth it.

Hint: Not many.

Archie Bunker 03-29-2022 11:06 AM

Probably for Bradberry I’d assume.

ToxSocks 03-29-2022 11:07 AM

If the Chiefs stay put and draft a WR with one of those 1sts, i'm reaaaally starting to warm up to Christian Watson. That dude is freaky.

You spelled Treylon Burks wrong.
