White would pretty much solidify the LBs. That would be a damn good trio.
Allows us to ignore the position almost entirely in the draft. Maybe grab a UDFA, but that’s it. Really any position we sign on defense helps, because it opens up our draft that much more. White, Juju, and a DE. Maybe a reclamation at CB. I’ll be more than content with that going into the draft. |

2 years, $13 million. |
I mean, if DJ and I think something is smart to do, shouldn’t that indicate we should just do it?

This unreal man. I can’t think of an off-season like this.

I’m assuming it’s for the Raiders 1st and either a 2nd or 3rd too.
|
Whatever Veach’s plan was originally entering this offseason… might be time to change course considering the nuclear arms race going on in the AFC West.

Raiders paid Adams way too much money, Adams will probably make Carr look good

Now….don’t get me wrong but Adams was erased when he had Jordan Love at QB. Derek Carr isn’t Love by any means but he also isn’t Rodgers.

So GB is going to get JuJu and Landry huh.

Yep….Fresno State is not the NFL. |
Adams turns 30 this year.
Would anybody really give up draft picks and 28 per for a 30 year old WR? |
I am no longer for any high end FA signings at this point. Sign young guys, keep your draft picks and fight it out that way. Trying to keep up with this madness is only going to **** this team over long term.
No ****ing thanks. |

Nothing anybody else does should change anything we do. We just need to stick with our plan and trust the process.
If they always planned to get a guy like Danielle Hunter, then go get him. If they want to focus on the draft and get aggressive there, do that. Absolutely no reason to alter the course. |

The plus side with this is that between Godwin and Adams new deals….the Hill contract should get done fairly quickly.
|
It’s all about drafting, QB play and coaching. We have the QB and coach. Drafting is good recently and needs to continue and we’ll be fine
|
The whole cap shit blindsided the **** out of me. How was nobody talking about the chiefs cap issues before it became apparent we weren't going to sign people? I thought they structured Mahomes contract so they could easily restructure it to create room and be flexible. And yet a year in and cap issues are keeping us from being aggressive or even semi aggressive?

For a team like the Raiders though he is a waste because he’s not going to elevate Carr’s ceiling. |

There is no cap issue preventing the Chiefs from making moves. They are choosing not to so far. There could be multiple reasons as to why that is. JFC you people have zero patience for the offseason. |

At this point last offseason, they signed Thuney and that was it. You were bitching. They have a plan, and with some patience, they will reveal it. You clearly will never learn. |
anybody else tired of Juju yet

I’ll look at it this way - if Adams were a free agent I wouldn’t want to give him $28 million/season entering his age 30 year. And the Raiders evidently paid handsomely for the privilege of doing so.
That said - still not happy we have to play him twice. |

I’ll never forget how you called Jarran Reed the most underrated signing in the entire NFL last offseason. And then fought with me over it. If you want false confidence, follow staylor! Even if Veach works magic this offseason, more likely than not we just went from going 5-1 in the division to something more like 3.5-2.5. Combine that with a first place schedule and a second-in-the-AFC matchup against the Bucs, and our fortunes have dimmed. |
DeShaun Watson to the Falcons?
|
Thank Veach…. Tyreek is gonna want more money now

Nobody is saying that the division and the conference hasn’t gotten much tougher. Nobody is saying that the Chiefs don’t have their work cut out for them. Nobody is saying this might not be a down year. Giving perspective that almost all of these moves are “win now” moves that puts the Chiefs in a position to be better off in the future isn’t being a homer. It’s not my fault that morons like you miss my point entirely when it comes to shit like this. |
Do we have scouts combing High Schools for Mahomes' next SB EZ target?
|
Oh, and the bonus here is now the Packers may be more aggressive with Juju or Landry and restrike the market higher.

Who should we start looking at as a possible replacement for Veach?
|
Nobody likes what has happened the last couple of days. It's pretty discouraging actually.
But people also need to remember that we're a day into free agency. The Chiefs aren't done yet. Look at all the moves Veach has made that don't involve the first day of free agency. We also still have a very deep, talented draft coming up. It's not the end of the world. It might just be a down year. It happens. Shit happens. |
