Have you got a link to that sale?

Crappy patches (eg single color) have been trading over 70K for a long time now, and nice multi color patches have been over 180K and over 300K for AFC patches etc.
40K would be an absolute steal.

So you're saying that my Panini Phoenix rookie autographed patch card that graded a 9 mint by PSA should sell for at least $70,000? :p

No. Values for Phoenix are not comparable to National Treasures. Flawless/NT/Impeccable and the other real high end products values reign supreme.

Depending on how low of a parallel # it is, is it a jumbo or small relic, pigskin patch? So many other variables than just the RC patch auto side of it.

For those looking for a just a Mahomes RC that won't break the bank, the 2017 Panini Player of the Day RC. It shows him in his Chiefs uni with #15. Has the RC mark. Can still be had in auctions for under $100. Around $150 BIN prices. I see great value in that card long term.

It's about a 1" square white patch and the card is #4 of 49.

IMO you are looking at $3-5K, depending on the buyer. Also IMO, Hold.

Phoenix is bound to rise higher in values with the opti-chrome cards. Whether that translates over into 2017 Phoenix RPA's only time will tell. Select, and Optic had the same problem always lagging behind Prizm values. This past year changed that. Phoenix is the same card stock as those products and as the market adjusts for that I can't imagine Phoenix foil RPA's not at least rising in value as well.

I just acquired a Bobby Witt Jr refractor 11/25 graded 9.5 gem mint by Beckett.

A great trade!

I traded PSA 10's of the Larry Bird & Magic Johnson 1981-82 2nd year cards.

Nice! That Witt is going to go bonkers when he makes the jump.

Thanks for the information, I'll definitely hold onto it until Mahomes wins another couple of Superbowls or so, LOL! I only have a hundred and a half invested in it.

Just to make things really interesting/confusing....
Not only do the different card issues change the value of PM's rook enormously, even within a particular issue there is the card that's considered the true rc.

So, the 2017 National Treasures RPA (rookie patch auto) is this card as was linked earlier...
https://hosting.photobucket.com/imag...5of15_BGS9.jpg

Has traded anywhere from the mid high 150K's to low 300K's over the last 12 months, hitting super highs just before the failed run it back. Other coveted patches including the AFC brought 700K's.

Same issue (NT) from same year, auto'd and similar color patches...12-15K

Because this card was not part of the 'base' design it's not considered his true RPA.

When you start throwing money around in high end card collecting you really want to know your shit.

I think that will change on what is considered rookies.
