I wouldn’t be surprised if this game gets moved to 3 PM late game schedule.

Unless thunderstorms/lightning is expected, why would they move the game time because of rain?

NFL football has been played in rain for about 99 years now... maybe you missed that fact.

Tomorrow's game could be decided by turnovers or dropped passes if the weather is going to be as bad as it looks.

Could be a low scoring run attack if passing is too tough.

pugsnotdrugs19 10-06-2018 02:25 PM

It’s gonna rain. A lot.

Luckily I think that favors us given that Kareem and Ware can really do damage in these conditions.

This game will have to be won in the trenches I would say. I’m not worried about Mahomes being able to throw it, I’m worried about the receivers being able to catch it.

New World Order 10-06-2018 02:28 PM

Yeah forecast doesn't look good.

This sucks

The good news is that the Chiefs have a chance to grind out a win here at home and not show too much flashy stuff in their gameplan because of how mucky its going to be.

We very well may meet this team again in January and I’d hate to show too many of our cards in the game tomorrow that can beat their schemes. You know Andy has stuff up his large sleeve.

Remember that very rainy Monday night game in Green Bay? I think it was 2015 where Rodgers still managed to score 30+ on us.

Rain. Schmain.

Which is more difficult on a wet field? Know where you're going on a route? Or, try to mirror a guy who already knows where he's going on a route?

We got this.

I don’t doubt offenses too much in the rain anymore after I watched Alex Smith and Tyrod Taylor, 2 absolute game managers, sling the football all over the yard in 2015 at Arrowhead in the worst outdoor conditions I’ve ever stood in. 34 degrees and steady rain for 4 quarters.

It kinda makes me interested to see how they handle the rain. Might be a good opportunity to get after their defense as the pass rush and DBs will be slowed by the slick field.

Sassy Squatch 10-06-2018 02:42 PM

Who all is going to be there in the rain?

DRM08 10-06-2018 02:43 PM

Gonna be an ugly game with the weather. Need to protect the ball. No turnovers would be huge in this kind of game.

Fumbles will happen.

Luckily Hunt has been amazing protecting the ball and Bortles is well.... Bortles.

For other fantasy guys on here—do I play Mahomes or Newton tomorrow?

Both games may be rainy it looks like but opponents are obviously different.

Yea, this is actually the last thing we want. I'd rather he throw ducks.

I'd like to make a comment ... so I will ... because I've been thinking ...

On the subject of Bortles running with the ball-thing ... I wonder if we will go with DOD instead of Ragland on certain downs (Ragland only played in 43% of the snaps in the donk game) and use him to spy Bortles tendencies to run the edges. Or maybe use DOD in nickel sets to spy and also cover backs (since we can anticipate the short game from Bortles).

We also could use DOD against Yeldon in the passing game.

It’s the job he was drafted for. About time that he gets a chance to do it IMO.
