I would love too, but my computer's not working at home & I get off work in an hour. Don't want to start something I can't contribute to.

Besides need to finish up so I can get home and pack for my trip to satans home (aka Denver)

Yep! The wind was insane here in SD. This last one dropped the least amount of snow (a little over a foot in Rapid City).

Don't make fun. I watched ESU win the national championship. While it was horrid basketball, it was nice to see my alma mater do something well.

I got this job interview in the morning, and I really need the job, but i really don't want it because it's the worst possible job I could get, but I'm sweating not getting it because if I don't, I'm ****ed. Well, I'm already ****ed, but if I get this job, the soreness will ease up.

Any job is better than unemployment. Do your best to get this one, and actively look for a better one while you're collecting that paycheck.

You can always improve things later.

That's my plan. It's just that with my record I litterally have to fight for a job in the interview, and it's hard to fight for something you're dreading doing. But I guess it's time to be a man and do what's gotta be done.

That's the long and short of it. When your back is against the wall, you find a way to make it work... because there's honestly no other choice.

I can do the job, it's just the interview that's got me going. I used to date the manager's daughter, and she didn't like me then, plus she's a bitch, and now I have ten felony convictions to go along with whatever she didn't used to like me for, and I'm worried I won't get the job or if I do she'll give me few hours of the toughest responsibilities. When I was a kid, you could make good money housing tobacco in my home town. (seemed like good money at the time, anyway.) I did it for one summer, it was rough. Dirty, and hot as hell... The next summer I got a job washing cars at a local dealership. The job still sucked, but it was a hell of a lot better.

I have no idea what that consists of, but detasseling was the worst job I ever had. You'd be standing in a bucket on a machine out in the hot sun bending over pulling tassels out of corn as fast as you mother****ing can (which usually wasn't fast enough) ALL DAY LONG. And supposedly it was easier with the machines, I didn't stick around long enough to find out what it was like without them.

Housing is hanging to tobacco plants in a barn to dry. They cut them, and put 8 or 10 on a big wooden stake, and pass them up into the top of the barn, to be hung to dry. It's like a billion degrees up there. (or it seemed like it.)

I've heard stripping is even worse (not that kind), but I never did that.

BTW, if you've never seen a tobacco worm, you're missing out on one of God's nastiest creatures. I saw a dude bite the head off one once...

You're young enough to easily overcome this, you just need to stay out of trouble and the farther you get your dumb****ery behind you the better things will become. The biggest thing right now is proving that you are a trustworthy person, that will make or break you in this world.

Well I'm no psychologist, and I don't play one on TV, and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night but I'd say that's probably not all that unusual for someone with your background. Just do what you have to do to prove yourself wrong.

I assumed as much.

One thing I will say in Kurt's favor... he's actively reaching out to people. Hell, the guy called out Bug because he was depressed and needed someone to talk to.

I have no idea why anyone would want to talk to Bug, but that's beside the point. :)

You didn't hear it from me, but Bugsy is a good guy.

I guess I've just desensitized myself when it comes to people wanting sympathy for situations that they brought on themselves, whether they believe they did or not.

I need to also realize that people feel frustrated and need to vent about stuff that's bothering them. I'm no one who should jump all over someone for doing that. :)

It's understandable. But there's a difference between asking for money, or a place to stay... and just asking for a little moral support.

And yeah, I'm well aware that Bugs is a quality dude. :)

I know it's easier said than done, especially when they're in your own family, but you need to work on disassociating yourself with those types of people. If you're friends aren't going anywhere then you won't either.
