Ned's biggest mistake was firing Seitzer. Would the team be hitting better if Seitzer were still here? Who knows? What we DO know is that Yost believed he had identified the problem and the solution -- and he was dead wrong. So you can hold him accountable for that.

The lineup stuff is aggravating, but really, most of those arguments involve trying to find a way to "hide" bad bats, and there are too many of them to do that. Yeah, hitting Getz leadoff is stupid, but playing him and batting him 9th really isn't much better.

The bottom line is there are too many crappy players on the roster -- Frenchy, Getz, etc. -- and too many prospects who haven't developed. And that all points to Dayton Moore.

Good post.

Firing Ned now would solve nothing. In fact chances are his replacement would be worse. I do not think Ned is a good manager, I also dont think hes horrible or even the one that should be blamed for this reality we are witnessing. He doesnt seem to bring anything to the table as a manager but there just isnt much to work with with this roster.

Any of us could have a turn at setting the lineup for a game and it would not matter. any team scoring 3 runs or less a game is going to loose night in night out.

He's pulling pitchers quicker this year. That's the only plus I've noticed

Same thing with the Royals almost every year...

At some point early in the season... April or May they go on a killer losing streak that effectively puts them out of serious contention and then come late August and September when they have nothing to play for they start winning games.

Taking the family to the game tomorrow. Anyone know if you can take a soft sided cooler into the park like in St. Louis?

If they showed DM's face on the video board, would the fans boo, or would they be like "huh, what are they showing him for? Isn't he in charge of marketing?"

The Royals have a web site, it should have the answer you seek.

Well after losing 9 of the last 10 to the Astros and Angels, we can more than say goodbye to the next 7 games, vs the Cards and Rangers. LMAO

Watching Royals baseball is like drinking alcohol. Twenty hours later, it seems like a good idea again.
