With another key player ailing less than a month into the season, Buffalo began preparations for Sunday’s game in Houston without receiver Khalil Shakir (ankle), starting safety Taylor Rapp (concussion protocol) practicing, and reserve defensive tackle Austin Johnson (oblique).
