I guess the Chiefs have a lot more to offer than a lot of people thought.

When he sees something he wants, he goes and gets it. He's a rich guy with nearly unlimited resources and an incredible drive (obviously, now) to see the Chiefs win. He got ahold of Reid like a bulldog and isn't letting go. |

Developed young QB talent/teams? Check. Is respected by other coaches and players? Check. Won't take shit from Pioli? Check. |

Yes, his job was to win now. No question. But he also wasn't obligated to trash the future. A savvy HC and GM could have focused on the former without completely disregarding the latter. |

you guys do realize that we were pretty ****ing unlucky in the 90s...right?
The Tony G catch with no instant replay...the kicker who shall go unnamed? I always talk about bounces and how you need them to win Super Bowls or playoff games... well a great example is the Patriots in 2007 and 2011. They should have won both of those games, but Eli made two ridiculous plays that are like 5% plays and Welker dropped a game sealing pass. we can blame Carl and Marty and there is certainly merit ESPECIALLY for Carl and the 2000s but the 90s were a success we just were the unluckiest mother ****ers...in fact, Marty is just one unlucky ****er between kickers and fumbles. |
if Andy Reid can install a winning culture and get Arrowhead back, even at 80%, to what it once was...I'll be happy. More than happy. I was jealous of that Seattle/San Fran game. Those Seattle fans were NUTS. That used to be us.

I think Pioli is going to be around to do paperwork and make sure the beer contract is renewed, but probably won't have much to do with football. |

When it's Earnest Byner AND the Drive AND a missed kick AND a phantom PI AND a guy fumbling a game-sealing interception AND another missed kick AND... Well, I'm sure you get the picture. Marty is NOT unlucky. He's one of the worst playoff coaches of all time. |

Heard from 2 different sources now that Pioli will definitely be fired. |

If Reid is hired and brings a new GM, who then drafts a QB first overall, ST sales will skyrocket. People will show up, KC absolutely loves the Chiefs, they just hate what they've become. But thats all about to change. |
one long shit show on 610
basically, 'it's risky'....same knee jerk reaction that comes up whenever QBs are discussed.... we're 2-14 and haven't won a playoff game since aids was scary, but Reid isn't good enough for us, neither is any QB in the draft...we're so special and precious... |
