It's game time yo!
GONNA BE A LONG GAME!
Let’s go.
3 bricks, 2 turnovers
Clank. Clank.
Looks like these guys think they can run with us.
It's a bold strategy Cotton, lets see if it pays off for them. |
Well, everyone seems to be nervous as hell again after a reprieve during the B12 tournament. Braun and Wilson passing up wide open shots.
1st timeout we doubled their score!

Will we score again this half?
I think a lot of people remember the Bucknell lost. I know they do here, I live 30 minutes from the Bucknell campus. That combined with not playing up to seed as often as we probably should.
There are people who probably think the losses to VCU, Northern Iowa, Wichita State, Stanford, etc were in the first round. |
Lots of swatting going on.

What a pass. Healthy Remy is fun to watch!
Can we leave Remy in
Remy dunk!
Remy can be for this team what Sherron was for ‘08
Remy baby

Martin got some ups
Remy can be their Malik Newman. Self just has to not yell at him for a while and leave him in when he makes a mistake.
Harris is actually playing pretty well too
Martin and Harris shaping up nicely.
We’re gonna be alright my guys. Let’s pass Kentucky this tournament for all time wins.
I like to see a healthy rotstion between Remy and Harris.
The amount of timeouts jesus
I’d like to back off the fouling a bit. Seems unnecessary at this point in the game.
Remy looks like the best player of the tourney so far
Remy should be starting but I’m sure self won’t want to upset the Apple cart at this point in the season.
Imagine if Remy had adjusted/stayed healthy all season. This Remy plus what we already had?
Holy shit! That pass.
Remy is on another level right now |
Martin ON FIRE
I'm rock hard

We finally executed a 2 for 1 in the most improbable way possible lol

47-19 too close
No need to worry about this one being over crazy late Central time... before 10:30 isn't bad.

Self went to the joke lineup too early. Should be up 30 right now.

Oh jeez. Never go full Reerun.
We’re rocking a solid 25% from the charity stripe.
We’re doing g great. We just need a few more fouls and they will be in the double bonus with 15 min left.
That’s 5.
All year long, refs almost never call fouls for Wilson. He takes a lot of body contact on his drives and gets very little.
The bench lineup getting embarrassed again in this 2nd half. Are we really going to have to put the starters back in?
Welp. Getting sloppy. Burrito Bill isn’t happy.

The answer is yes. |
On to R32 after an understandably casual 2nd half there.
Creighton is, of course, a serious threat. They are an elite defensive team (16th in adjusted defensive efficiency in the country). They hold teams to only 43.7% shooting from 2PT range (9th in country). They also give up just the 4th amount of FTs per FG in the country, so they effectively don't foul at all while defending very tightly. Creighton also have long switchable wing type players all over the court (Hawkins, Kaluma, O'Connell) who are all over 6'6 and will make it difficult to get open shots and get good matchups in the half court. The question will be whether Ryan Kalkbrenner (who is certainly their best defender, think Jeff Withey type) can play on Saturday. His knee injury did not look pretty. If he can't, Keyshawn Feazell, a senior and solid two-way big, will play much more than anticipated. In all likelihood, though, they will just go much smaller than they usually do which will force its own set of defensive problems for KU. One of KU's biggest issues this year has been when teams play five out and force McCormack to guard the perimeter (usually eventually taking him out of the game entirely). That may be what KU faces in this one. Better be ready. |

Quick turnaround too. Looks like CBS wanted KU on Saturday afternoon. |

Nope Kalks is done for the season.
Had he not been injured tonight. This would have been a great game. Creighton is now without its starting point guard and now it's best big man in decades. KU will have the Jay's in foul trouble and will role in the second half if they don't role from the opening tip off? Sucks. Healthy Jay's are a tough match up for anyone. Probably the youngest team to make the tournament this year. This isn't your Dad's Blue Jay's. Next 4 years are gonna be awesome here in Omaha. Tomorrow is just a learning curve. To be great. You have to play great programs. Can't wait. |

I mean those athletes they have are sick. And it's Calipari. It's not like he's running high level team concepts, he's running his athletes and counting on the fact that his are better than yours. So it's not like they had some breakdown that made the wheels come off. They just shit the bed. Except Tshiebwe. You know, the guy that put up 30, 16 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks. That was a pants shitting of epic proportions, and I'll be fair to Rams Fan, I didn't see it coming either. I also don't run any smack because I've been on the other end of KU getting destroyed by scrubs. |

And 20 years ago when I'd get the inevitable texts after a Kansas loss from some douchebag Mizzou fan, I'd not so kindly tell them to **** off in that moment.... these days I can laugh at the idiot players for playing like shit and move on. So really, we're doing fans a favor by rubbing it in... develop the calluses faster, **** feelings. |

Excuse you friend, but there’s no “to be fair” with trolls who come into a team’s fan thread, talk shit, then disappear. He will come back and take his medicine I can promise that. If not, me and Pablo *will* hunt him down on another thread and execute him drive-by style. Like a Colombia drug hit. We have skills. Skills that make us a nightmare for people like Rams . If you own it now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you. |

And maybe I’m the anomaly. A decade or so ago I got on the board of this organization, and hitched a ride with this dude who I’m guessing was 45 at the time and had a real nice visit with him. He was doing a lot of stuff that I wanted to do and I was picking his brain a bit. He had a masters degree in GIS and was running a good sized farm professionally. He was well spoken and really approached everything logically and level headed. Dude was a pro. His dad was a professor at KSU and he went to KU, so he’s got a bit of a **** off streak, I’m sure he ate a bunch of shot for a couple decades attending KU. So the conversation switched to Mizzou and he was like, “Oh yeah after the Norfolk Game I got on the Mizzou boards and trolled those guys hard.” ROFL. What? You’re running several million dollars of farm and you’re hopping on to troll message boards? Dude is still a pro and he’s probably 1 of 10 or 15 voices I will listen to without much scrutiny. No clue if he’s still trolling, but it was an odd departure. So yeah, maybe I’m the anomaly. LOL. |

I mean, he's here all the time trolling and UK only loses to a 15 seed or loses an NIT game once every few years. |
