I'm considering getting the Royals TV package and understand that it's now done under the FanDuel name (I guess they bought-out Bally's, or at least the Royals part of Bally's), so my question is if anybody has any experience with streaming Royals games through/via FanDuel?

I loaded the FanDuel App on ye 'ol Samsung TV, but haven't signed up yet. It seems like Roku, FireStick, and Chromecast has the App too, so I'm wondering if there are any recommendations about how to best stream the games using the/a FanDual App?

Tomorrow the free MLB.TV through TMobile drops

Offer lasts 6 days I think

Not sure how that impacts the local market but have used it for the last 2 seasons out of market

Stream it on one of your sticks instead of trying to rely on the shitty on-board smart TV stuff.

The Bally's app is frustratingly buggy, but fine when it's working. Maybe they've invested a little more in it (not holding my breath - Sinclair is still calling the shots, and they're cheap assholes).

Cool, thanks.. I was just thinking that, because the TV is hardwired into the local switch, that it might have a better chance that the wireless connection the other sticks have. Well they're all about 5 feet from the router, so maybe the wireless will work fine. That and Mrs. Glorydayz is the main Royals fan in this house, and I'm pretty sure she'd do better with the TV all than figuring out how to use the sticks. Welp, she'll just have to learn...

Thanks again...

I didn't know Sinclair would still be the driving force behind this. I was excited because I thought FanDuel would run it better than those idiots.

It's still owned by Diamond, which is still a subsidiary of Sinclair.

So I just signed up for Fanduel, but from my laptop (Of which I prefer to watch on seeing the wife isn't a fan :(). I just went to their site (https://fanduelsportsnetwork.com/packages) and created an account. And then followed their instructions. I had Royals, Cardinals and Thunder available in my zip code (I chose Royals, but I presume one can pick whatever they want), and get a 7 day free trial. If I'm not happy, I can cancel anytime, with my monthly subscription (19.99/mo).

Their annual packages are 99.99/season thru Sept. 29th, or the whole season for about twice that amount at 189.99 and I assume is thru the end of the playoffs? I not sure about the annual pricing, just speculation.

So on avg. it costs around .75 cents a game (162 divide by 6 mo=27, 19.99divided by 27 = .74)

It says I can get it on any device (although in the comments they say it has problems, I don't know yet).

Will see this Thursday. 3:00.

Edit: I just downloaded the app onto the TV, so I can watch on the TV when I want also. I assume.

Looks like Biggio is going to make the roster.

I used Fubo last season to watch the Royals. Haven’t decided what to do this season. If Fubo is again an option, it will be an easy decision.

If you're logged on on your phone did it let you log on on your TV? IOW, do they limit it to one session at a time. I'm fine with that, I just want to be aware so I can warn/inform Mrs. Glorydayz in case she wants to watch on her phone when not home but might leve us logged on here at home.

It's useless for local markets, unless you want to watch other teams.

GloryDayz 03-25-2025 02:57 PM

All signed up and ready to go. I signed up thru Amazon Prime, let's see it that was a wise choice, or not, but either way Mrs. GloryDayz will be in business.. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...4227c36902.jpg

It said it was available on all my devices (TV, laptop, phone), but I haven't gone there yet. We downloaded the app on the TV, and all I need to do is log in to my account. I would imagine the phone would be the same, but I haven't gotten the app on it yet. But for me, the laptop will get the most use.

I just reread your post, and I don't know if it lets you do that (multiple devices) or not. Let me know.

Edit: I quoted the wrong post, meant to also quote your last post. :doh!:
