I bet this is a trap to see how man planeteers log in...wouldnt surprise me a bit if this was at the San Diego zoo...and Marty is off to the sides ushering in the animals...

At first, I thought they were a type of fox as well, Mr. Hydrae. Then, later on, they appeared to be more hyenas. It's easier to tell when you stalk dangerous animals in person.

I think the hyenas are running off all the other wildlife, though.
