In Frank, we have a player that is very familiar with their offense and has dominated their O-line by a ridiculous margin.

It does not seem possible he can just shove a 270 to 300-pound man back six feet? His power move almost defies the rules of physics.

McGlinchey is not a great pass blocker, and is still adjusting to the power / speed of the NFL. Clark will have the advantage, but hopefully McGlinchey will be up for the game. Some of those clips McGlinchey just has poor footwork and is not in a position to gain leverage. When you see him run over Clark on running plays, you'll appreciate he has more than enough power to overwhelm Clark. He just needs the footwork to do so.

Clark is an every down defensive player. He's only on the sidelines when he needs rest. Ford, on the other hand, is a gadget player. He's a specialist, which is why his snap count is so limited.

On top of that, Clark has actually logged MORE sacks than Ford this year. So Clark has outperformed Ford at the ONE thing he brings to the table. Doesn't get any dumber than saying Ford has had a better year than Clark. There's not a GM in football that would choose Ford over Clark.

Garoppolo is the one who is going to have to ball out if they want to win, IMO.

Unless we have a repeat of the first quarter of the Houston game, we're going to win this, and handily.

They can't cover our offensive weapons.

They THINK they can impose their will in the running game, but so did Tennessee.

Their defensive line is very good. So is ours. They're not going to be able to control the game on the ground.

Jimmy GQ will have to light it up. I don't see that happening.

We just need to play well.

They need us to shit down our leg AND they'll need to play well.

See Murray, Jackson and Wilson, the QB's who had the most success against this D. All of them are "extend the play" kind of guys. Those extra curriculars cause their system to completely break down. They don't have the horses on the backend to survive if the pass rush doesn't get their quickly, and the Qb's ability to escape the pocket really makes them breakdown.

Yep...this is pretty much it. Saleh will have to dial up some interesting blitzes if the front 4 cannot get the ball out of PMII's hands within 4 secs.

four seconds? That's a ****ing lifetime.

Hill, Watkins, and Hardman are 30 yards downfield in 4 seconds.

What does this mean? You think you’re going to drop 60? Hope your players bring their diapers!

It is and it isn't...avg pass play is mid-3 seconds. The broken, backyard play typically runs much longer. 49ers can defend well for 4 secs. Over that, and they will lose coverage on Hill, Hardman, Watkins and Kelce, and PMII will make them pay.

Clark - 8 sacks in 16 games
Ford - 6.5 sack in 10 games

You guys are really special on this board. Who knew Chiefs fans are so clueless

You gonna come back after we beat you by 20 plus and take your whoopin'?

Or are you just going to be a little bitch and disappear like the Pats, Ravens, Texans, and Titans fans all did?

Oh.

Well I guess if he's just adjusting then Frank Clark will take it easy on him. I mean if he's not very good at pass-pro, then we should probably have Clark play with a hand tied behind his back to even things up.

I mean...what the **** even is this?

Try 2, bud.

If Mahomes gets as much as 3 seconds to throw, he'll vivisect that secondary.

Not in zone coverage.

You give Mahomes 3 seconds against a zone and you're done. Good man coverage can push plays longer because you simply run different routes against it, especially with these kinds of weapons.

But presuming you fellas stick with a 2-high safety look and some kind of cover 3 system, guys like Kelce and Watkins will be looking to settle into zones within 2-3 seconds and the ball will be halfway there by the time they settle.

You best hope Saleh's adjusted his internal clock because 3 seconds is an eternity for Mahomes against zone looks.
