nah, see, they're on their QBOTF's rookie deal.

I'm sure they'll move Jimmy G., but they won't move any weapons in their prime.

They need 'em in case Lance balls out.

I would love Brown, McLaurin or DK. DK would be very expensive next year to keep. McLarin or Brown is our best hope money wise and going forward.

Deebo won't be available. The other 3 might because of money and those teams need picks.

That "out of nowhere" move I've referenced a few times.

If he pulls it off, it's going to be someone we weren't expecting.

I would just hope that it’s someone who isn’t going to need a brand new contract in the next year.

AJ Brown is going to break the bank. He's going to get big money. There's no way it's him.

The Franchise 03-29-2022 07:26 AM

And define top WR. Watch it be Shenault. LMAO

Sassy Squatch 03-29-2022 07:26 AM

Titans wouldn't send him here anyway. IF that report isn't complete bullshit it's one of those 3 or the definition of a "top WR" is a lot more broad than I thought.

Precisely.

I don't think it's any of those guys... without looking at their current contracts, I would imagine those guys would require a new deal. Which would beg the question - why go that route (give up multiple picks and a big salary) if you tried avoiding that with Hill?

Exactly.

Anyone we'd be considering a "Top WR" is going to be getting $20M a season on their next deal.

bigjosh 03-29-2022 07:32 AM

Michael Pittman may be a name to look out for here if they are actually trying to build a group with size.

Also helps with the colts/Ballard connection.

I 100% expect a Shenault type guy. More than likely a WR they were high on who was drafted by a GM who is no longer in power.

Yeah, doesn't make much sense to turn around and trade for some B-lister who will need a new contract within the next year or so. If we're going to do that, we may as well have kept Hill.

That said, I'd jizz for McLaurin in this offense.

Depends on what you're giving up and what the salary is.

We were willing to pay Tyreek a shit-ton of money.

For the right guy, I'm not against using some picks to get younger and cheaper while waiting on a rookie WR to get up to speed.

McLaurin for example, would be cheaper but not younger.
