They worked through an afternoon meeting and have reached a point where staff and other issues have been resolved. I'm sad because I've really enjoyed Talking Can just ripping out Cassel and Pioli's innards through their rectums.

Is San Diego going to feel like we did when Manning didn't even look our direction?

Reid isn't a great coach. He's between a good and very good coach. Closer to very good on the spectrum. The thing is, Bill Belichick, Sean Payton, Jim Harbaugh aren't available. I don't see Reid as a bad choice at all. He's a proven winning coach for a team that needs to get back to winning. He has good structure, and should get the franchise headed in the right course if nothing else.

I remember being sky high when we hired Vermiel.
Like I was 100% certain we had a Super Bowl in our future. While 2003 was awesome, the overall shortfall of that experience has me tempering my enthusiasm a bit. I'm thrilled with the hire and am glad Clark appears to have a deep desire to win, but I just can't seem to go "all in" just yet. |
1 year/2 million dollars? What a steal!
