It's the only explanation at this point. He apparently puts in the time and effort and is a good teammate, but all that work hasn't amounted to him even being as good as someone like Byron Pringle or Albert Wilson. Hell, Dexter McCluster was a way better WR when we actually lined him up out wide instead of the backfield.
Reminds me a little bit of Russell Wilson. He made it a point to craft this image of him being the guy who works the hardest in the entire league, and he basically doubled down on that when he went to the Broncos. Then the hilarious collapse. Only difference is Russ is a hasbeen and Skyy is a neverwas.
