I tell my ortho pts i'd like you to wear it 6 months all the time then just at night for the rest of your life, knowing they aren't listening and dont' care.

Wearing a retainer for the rest of my life while I sleep was not something I agreed to when I was a middle schooler. I'd rather have crooked teeth. And I know it's hard to get a kid to think about all the consequences, but I would have told my parents to save their money and a bunch of pain in my ass to not have braces if I knew that was the future.

They'll be back out in full force when he has a bad game.

Fortunately I'm a cranky old person now so I don't even bother making up a half response to the hygenist. Just a simple "Nope" has served me fine. Then the dentist will come in and say "yeah, I know you've heard it, but flossing really does help..." and we all go on with our lives.

Make sure you include a statement like, "Veach struggles at drafting tackles" just like morons used to accuse him of not being able to draft WRs

"Doc I haven't been flossing....Doc I don't like the dentist no offense....Doc I don't wanna do the treatment you are recommending...."

I really do floss at LEAST once a day though. That shit gives me anxiety if I neglect to do it LOL.

I floss and brush and use mouthwash, as well. And I'm pretty sure flossing has the most positive effect of the three. In fact, if you put a gun to my head and made me choose just one for the rest of my life it would be flossing.
