But I think most of us kind of thought this wouldn't go to trial; that it would be pled down and that ultimately it would be negotiated between Rice's lawyer the prosecutors and the judge. And maybe that still happens somehow.

But if it goes to trial. In Dallas. In front of a jury of Dallas jurors, and the prosecution decides to really be aggressive about sticking Rice with something, well, I don't think that jury is going to be as lenient, that's all.

I think Veach has been leaning to a defensive/balanced concept but has hit on so many more defensive players that the results are a a defensive build.
