You can mute commercials, kids singing, the national anthem, the entire damn game if you want.

True story. My mute button is encased in some sort of resin so I can't use it. I have no idea what the resin is or where it came from, but it spilled on my remote before I even got my TV, and the mute button won't press. It's like an insect preserved in amber. It's the only button that was affected, and I've never bothered to try to chip the stuff off.
