If the MRI doesn't show anything structural - he'll play.

Because at that point it really would be just pain management. He can't make it worse, unless the worry is that by trying to compensate he subjects the other knee to heightened risk of injury (or by going less than 100% he opens himself up to be the nail rather than the hammer).

Good to have you here Doc!

O.City had him dead and buried!

You want a proper medical diagnosis, he's clear you call the ****ing lawyers...

I don't follow how a hyperextended knee translates to a bone bruise. Did part of the end of the femur hit the top of the fibia/tibia?

Pitch count?

Is it worth it to suit him up even if it's mostly as a decoy. Even if we come out in the first half and he's out there on obvious pass downs to draw double teams and attention...

Is it worth him suiting up for that? And before the comments come in... obviously if there is significant chance of re-injury just sit him.

Ya tibial condyle , depending on severity it could take months to heal or if it’s not deep just be mildly uncomfortable, he could play tomorrow or miss few weeks , like most medical issues ,It depends

I want him to play because there is no way they would play him if there is any increased risk involved with what happened yesterday. If they play him, that means he isn't just good enough to go I think, it means he is far far beyond that point and there is literally no justification in sitting him.

Nice short video that explains it all:

I really do." Obviously he's not a doctor and has little clue, but at least we can gauge that Travis himself doesn't see this as anything that's going to be a major more medium term impediment this season.

About as good as the news could be thus far.

Yeah, why rush? Sit him and the bone bruise has two weeks to heal and doesn't linger all season. Mahomes has got this.

It will suck if we lose on national TV/SB banner reveal etc. to the Lions but keep the eyes on the prize. SB'S Back to Back.

No sure how much you can reduce bone bruise pain with freezing , if he plays I would not be surprised he was wearing brace , if I was the trainer I would probably sit him this week , they do have access to things normal people don’t so they could get the swelling down pretty quickly

As we've found out over the years, you are significantly more at risk of injury if you play and are not healthy especially when it has to do with joints, knees, tendons etc. Your body will overcompensate and injure itself accordingly. I think it is going to be very difficult to win the Super Bowl without Travis Kelce. Kelce might be better at his position than Mahomes is at his. Mahomes has never not had Travis Kelce. You don't risk it at this point and I really, really hope he sits this one.

A lawyer spends a little time in the hospital and suddenly becomes the O.City of orthopedics.... :bolt:
