Dilfer was 20th in yards per game and 6th in TD per game in 2000.

Qb rating 76. 12 td's to 11 interceptions. 59% completion rate.

That may or may not be....but you pretending hat the reason people are excited about Foles is because they think he is Joe Cool is false.

The only reason people are excited about Foles is that they think there might be a chance he could elevate our passing game and offense to average or even above average levels. ROFL

His numbers were good enough for 20th and 6th in YPG and TDPG.

Non-Alex kind of rankings.

12 TD in 8 starts was a LOT of TDs in 2000.

I don't think we lose much with Foles.

I also don't think he's the franchise answer at the QB position.

CP is very good at making the backup QB a Pro-bowl QB (Yes I realize Foles has made the Pro Bowl before, it doesn't mean he's great).

CP is also very good at latching onto some mediocre players nuts and defending him like he has actually won something meaningful too...

2-5 record is considered good?

Foles is nice change of pace QB for a game...but Smith is 16-3 going back to the win streak. He just set the all-time Chiefs accuracy and all-time comeback record this season. Tough crowd. People are seriously devaluing him in hopes of the deep ball....by reading these threads, you would think they still have Cassel starting.

Smith is a better all-around QB...there is a reason Foles has been regulated to back-up status.

That bomb to Hill was a dying duck....as was his overthrow, for a sure TD, on the screen. Let's not anoint Foles the savior just yet...sheesh. Those were two horrible passes...

We're talking about Dilfer.

They guy who did something in 2000 that Alex Smith can't do in 2016.

Update: Smith passed his imPACT test with the independent Neurologist today confirming again that he is NOT showing concussion symptoms despite 4 days of evaluations.

There's concern that the fluid buildup/hematomas around his ears from multiple games with blows to the helmet caused his brief dizziness. No nausea, vomiting, Loss of consciousness, posturing, muscle rigidity on review of the footage.

Leave the testing to the doctors, CP.

The people b*tching about Smith act as if the dude hasn't even been throwing passes 10 yards downfield.

Did the pass to Hill in the Saints game not happen? Or Maclin in the Raiders game? You're telling me he wouldn't have hit Hill on that wide open TD against Indy?

JFC. Passing yards are more important than wins to half of this board.

Reid isn't going to sacrifice a game just to save Alex Smith. The plan will attack a bad jags defense. Like last game, it will be conservative with a few shots downfield.

Foles will do well against a bad jags defense. Alex will get his job back when he's ready. There is no controversy and Andy will make that clear.

Didn't you claim to really, really smart? Your irrational hatred towards Smith says otherwise....how you can obsess about him for three years and not self-evaluate your compulsive tendencies. Try reading a book...one without pictures...Carl Jung is a good place to start....or maybe take a walk.
