The videos of the launch are terrible. They in no way show how cool this launch looked at the Space Coast.

Barring any setbacks in the next few days, we should be on track for the CRS-8 (ISS resupply mission) launch Friday at 4:43pm EST.
Sounds like they're trying for the barge landing again on this one even though they could RTLS just because they're tired of not making it. |

T-5 hours. I actually won't be on during the launch itself this time (meeting until 3pm Mountain), but hopefully I can keep up with it covertly.
I'm feeling optimistic about this one. |
It sounded like the expected to pull it if this time. Excited to see the outcome.

Sure would be nice to get that one under their belts so they can stop worrying so much about landing and start worrying about re-launching! Also, FWIW, this one is an instantaneous launch window (as all ISS launches are), so it'll go at 4:43 EST or it won't go at all. -- Another FWIW, this is a NASA launch, so you can watch coverage on NASA TV in addition to the typical SpaceX webcast. I think they start coverage way earlier if you want more, though I find their style to be pretty dry. :) |

No delays this time, and SECO is done. Now land the damn thing!
|
Whoa! Live video! And they landed it!!!!
|
Stuck the landing. Beautiful shot.
Whoot! |
Nailed it!
