This is like when El Charrito (I think) stopped with the Mexican TV Dinners. They were pretty dang good for a couple enchiladas, rice and beans. Still nothing close to replace them.

Maybe they we Patio Mexican Dinners. Both were good.

As far as cheap/frozen Mexican goes I'm a huge fan of Don Miguels hot beef and bean burrito, they are never shy with the meat and its a real gutbuster
All of the Caseys around here used to carry them but they stopped for some stupid reason, sad |

What in the world ROFL

I have two 36 count boxes for sale :)
|
The last box of twelve in the house were eaten tonight for Taco Tuesday! Sad day! But damn they were tasty!!!
Now what to do going forward? Probably going to try Tostitos Cantina Thin Chips in a taco salad made basically the same way as we made taco's. |

These were always mid for me, it's just most shells are garbage which made them more attractive. Perez were always great but you have to go to Whole Paycheck foods to get them now
|
Opened up a box of the yellow corn tonight. Had six tacos and they were amazing. That La Victoria Salsa Bravo is a top notch taco sauce.
https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/i...Ae_bDRi-Oy1Q&s The best taco shells by far. |
I really had no idea what the following these shells had. One would think someone would try to make a similar product or purchase the rights to the recipe. I was more of an Art's or Perez shell because it was closer to what my mom made using Spanish Gardens corn tortillas and a pot of hot oil with taco tongs.
My kids grew up with La Tiera because they were easy to find in the grocery. |
I just looked and I have a still in plastic box of 12. Don't know if I should sell them or eat them.
|
My bad I didn't know Perez was no more, well I guess we'll have to start using tortilla chips and make Taco Salad.
