Did any of you humps eat "Jim Gs" burgers at 67th & Raytown Rd in the mid 80s to mid 90s? I don't know how, but their burgers were so much better than any burger I've eaten before or since....just cheese and ketchup. Ended up selling to a Chinese guy that f@cked it all up. Would love to have know Jim's secret...

It's also not on the list but LC's burgers out in the northland is also good as hell.

never had an issue with too much grease at Five Guys. It's got some downfalls but never thought they were terribly 'greasy.'

I find that fascinating.

The last time I got 5 Guys here, the bag was so soaked that the bottom fell out of it on my way to the car.

With some mayo, mushrooms, and some pico, it was the best sandwich I have ever had, especially if the steak was cooked to a good medium rare.

We went there some times as kids, man the wordplay boys can do with that name is …. Funny to think about. We came up with many that our folks were pissed about

Five Guys is my go to for a burger. I've never experienced them too greasy either. Their toppings always seem fresh. Their cajun fries are awesome, and they give you a pound of them even when you order the "Little" portion.

My picky daughter though, she'll order a full sized double patty burger, with nothing but ketchup. All those great toppings available, nope.. 6oz of ketchup.

You pieces of shit made me go to 5 Guys for lunch. Entirely your fault, and I’m serious

I didn’t want to say anything yesterday but I think Five Guys is bland as hell.

notorious 08-30-2022 11:20 AM

I eat there maybe once a year. Grilled onions are a must. Fries are good.

My wife adores the place, I always leave thinking "I just dropped $80 for my family to eat that?" It's not bad, but it's a shade overpriced.

Did you have any condiments on it? That helped IMO.

I love that place and have eaten there a lot over the years. The Platte Woods location only though. They put one in Riverside and it's just not the same. Also, it's a local mom-and-pop type franchise. Real hard-serve ice cream milkshakes and O rings the way they should be.

This and don't ever walk into one when its raining out and you are wearing sneaks. The grease on the tile floor is like an iceskate rink.

srvy 08-30-2022 01:31 PM

I have found five guys hard to hear in myself. Its one of those open floorplans up to the rafters sound just rattles and bounces around in there. I find Texas Roadhouse is like that.

This and this. We have one TR that is decent and the other sounds like the tarmac at O'Hare.

Did you have a bowel movement at work as a result?

I think that’s a fair assessment because I chose in n out over five guys because of the price I’m paying for what I’m getting. A double double from in n out is 1/3 the price of a five guys burger. I think that warrants consideration for the situation you find yourself in when getting the burger

There is no way on this planet Lizzo is a 3, unless you mean 300+ pounds.

Cheese curds are fantastic.

Not a huge fan of the fries, but I like the fry sauce.

I forgot about the Curds, love those too. Even their Hot Dogs aren’t too bad.

You would also have to buy another InNOut single and like 4 sides of fries to equal the amount of food you get from Five Guys.

This list is a fail, not one single reference to a ho you met in Belize. You had 10 chances and blew it. I expected a little more from a varsity letterman.
