If we can't beat them now with Brady and their offense, we never will.
|
Pats open up as 2.5 point favorites.
It’s going to be glorious. |

This said over and over again essentially:
“Hate to say it, but KC is gonna kill us. If the Texans destroyed us (let’s face it, 2 late TDS in the 4th made it close), KC may put up 50+ on us. Just not our year, the odd year curse strikes again. Just don’t have the horses to compete this year. In a game the Pats desperately needed, they played their worst. This team feasted on **** teams. Got destroyed by physical teams who play the RPO, something this defense can NEVER beat. KC plays a similar RPO type style. I’d be EXTREMELY shocked if the Pats beat KC next week. There’s just no way in hell its gonna happen.” |
You guys keep talking about how greatly improved the Pass Defense is, while it is better, its mostly because everyone knows they can just run it down our throats, so why pass?
|
Another gem where they are talking about just forfeiting the game:
“Fine. You want me to say it? As currently constructed, this team is going to get blown out by KC. We have no run game. No blocking. No TE's. No receivers with the ability to get seperation. KC's defense isn't great. And I doubt they win the SB. But the Texans defense sucked too. And this offense did squat. So yeah. Your darn right I hate our chances against the best QB, TE, and receiver in the league. And it has nothing to do with our defense. It's because the offense can't sustain drives. Which in turn tires our defense out. With the way our offense has played, we are getting the wrong team. At the wrong time. If that makes me a crap fan. So be it. I call it like I see it. Not everything is rainbows and sunshine. Things won't just magically happen. Thee needs to be personnel changes. Which it's too late in the year to happen.“ |
They aren’t optimistic over there. And rightfully so. Defense has really improved in the right spots and, overall I think, is better than Houston’s. We also have a better offense than Houston.
Offense put up 31 today in a very workman like way. Nothing flashy. Just took advantage of their opportunities. I would love to see Mahomes have enough time to find 3 or 4 long attempts next week, but I’m not holding my breath. |

Don't want them leaning on the run game. Romeo gave us the blueprint to win on defense last night - attack Brady up the middle. Put a DB in coverage on White. Double PEDelman. Mix in blitzes and go press man. It can be done. |

Gonna be a hard-faught game. Our offense is not playing well at all. Looks like a U-6 soccer team out there.
I watched KC vs OAK. I don't think your O is clicking either but y'all have the talent to overcome it and make big plays whereas we do not. Your D is playing pretty well. If we hope to have a shot a #1 seed we need to win. |
Winner from the Pats board:
“Can’t believe I’m nervous about KCs defense good grief.” Did we ever think the above were possible? They should erect a statue of Spags outside of Arrowhead. |
The sports media is going to be all over the Pats loss to the Texans and they will try to use as a rally cry. The time has never been better to crush their souls because they still think they are legit. You can't hide from a cupcake schedule it time to crush them like a bug and make them doubt themselves. I hope our guys know it time to end this fraud dynasty.
|
I dislike the Patriots more than I dislike the Chiefs... so, I hope KC can beat them. Good luck.

So, if it's necessary for you to basically be a total ****ing pig every time you post, I guess I'm allowed to occasionally use a homophobic slur when talking about Patriots fans. I mean, seriously. You ****ing snowflake. Is it necessary for you to be such a total hypocrite? Seriously. |

And I'm hypercritical of the coach. We went max protect and didn't try to go bombs away, it was just methodical and efficient. Getting first downs and running clock in the 4th. The fact that the defense is playing better allows that kind of efficiency to be even more effective. |

The NEP passing game is not consistent enough to be dependable and I think the pass D is a strength of KCs. |

Of course, Brady caught fire at the end of the game last night...one onside kick recovery and things could've been different. The Pats played like an AIDS filled dumpster fire for 55 min last night, then BAM, one score game. |
If we win this game, I think we finish 12-4 with at least the 2 seed.
I think the Patriots may lose to the Bills also. Their offense has been horrific against much worse defenses than Buffalo. Bills probably lose to the Ravens though. I think Houston has at least one more loss in them. I don’t see Baltimore losing more than 1 more. However, a team built around designed runs for the QB is always vulnerable. One bad hit and their season is over. |
I haven't read this whole thread so someone fill me in if I missed it. But please tell me Spags paid attention to Houston's game plan. They doubled Edelman and put a CB on White. Brady was lost without those two.
|
|
If Mahomes plays the way he has the last 2 games, Chiefs can't win in NE.
I know he's the golden child around these parts, but he looked skiddish in the pocket yesterday and seemed a bit hobbled. They've talked about playing a little more controlled, he looks like he's not really sure how to do that. |
Didn't seem hobbled at all on the TD run.
You're imagining things. Only issue with this offense last night was wind, drops and OL. |

He left some clean pockets last night too. |

If the Chiefs don’t beat the Patriots next weekend, they should re-evaluate. Patriots are a pile of hot steaming shit right now.

Take the checkdown when it’s necessary to stay ahead of the chains against pressure, but if you’ve got Hill, Kelce, even Watkins one-on-one with a DB downfield, don’t be afraid to throw that bitch. We saw Houston have success with it last night. |

I see tons of posts in each game day thread that says, "If I were the (Insert Team), I would just keep running on KC until they stop it." What usually happens is that team tries some dumb pass or "tricky" run, instead of just continuing to pound the Chiefs where they have been successful. It happened yesterday too when Chucky decided to try some Jet Sweep on 4th and 1 instead of simply handing it off up the middle. Difference is, NE WILL keep running wherever they are doing the most damage until KC proves they can stop it. I remember about 10 - 15 years ago watching them play on MNF, I think against the Saints, where the Patriots came out and threw it something like 20+ times in a row to start the game. |
|
This game will be about two guys. Edelman and White. Control those two and we win. Thats the formula, probably the simplest time to beat the Patriots.
|

There. That’s what you signed HB for, to do different things to help you win where needed. We need him to take away their RB passing game. |
Based on "initial tests," Patriots C Ted Karras is believed to be dealing with an MCL sprain.
Karras was injured in Sunday night's lost to Houston. Monday's MRI should confirm the diagnosis. Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Patriots believe Karras' injury is "something he can return from." With starting center David Andrews (blood clots) already lost to injured reserve, the Patriots could be down to third-stringer James Ferentz against the Chiefs in Week 14. Losing Karras would be another blow to New England's increasingly stagnant offense. |

KC struggled badly last year because NE took advantage of KC's horrid safety play. Berry was just a body in the AFC Championship game. Now that we have Mathieu and Thornhill added should help take out Edelman.
|
Quote:
Texans did a decent job on Edelman but man White tore it up, that worries me. It has been our glaring weakness on Defense. Patriots had a bad rash of the flu going around, no one seems to be mentioning that. They will be healthier and motivated next week. We will need our A game going into Foxboro. This will be Spags biggest challenge so far this year. Lets hope he schemes it up! Andy as well, its going to take guys like DRob and Watkins and RB to be named later. We know BB will focus on Tyreek and Kelce. |
We should be playing for a bye this weekend. Goddamnit

That plan is nails. And you can rely on Ward to shut down the outside.
The game will be decided on how well Breeland/Fuller handle their scrub WRs and the pass rush gets to Brady. |

Yea our passing offense is close to the worst i've seen ironically enough since 2006. We'll get better but at this point we are what we are. |

If there ever was a 'prove it to me' game for Pat and Andy, it's this one. Time to get the monkey off their backs. I feel if they don't win this week, we're going nowhere in the playoffs.

LMAO Some Patriots fans are all but begging for Brown to be brought back and he posts this.

So I’ve seen at least three Chiefs (Mahomes, Watkins, Darrel W.) post in the last several hours since last nights game how they are “rolling now”.
Seems like their feeling pretty confident in where they’re headed. TBD if that amounts to anything, but it’s clear that they view this Oakland game as the spark of the run. |

I'm curious if Clay will reveal what he heard happened over the bye?

So McCourty and Cowart (DT) will be out for the game?
No McCourty would be huge, no? |

But the conditions were not ideal these past two games. That was not KC's offense at its full potential. Especially with Hill out vs the Chargers. I think the Titans game was a far better representation of what we'll see moving forward. |
Please destroy the Pats. Their offense is terrible. Good d, but you can score enough. Get 'em.

Going into Foxboro after the Patriots and Tom Brady got clowned on Sunday night is gonna be real tough.
They want to make a statement that everyone writing them off is dead wrong and they will show them. We need to pressure Brady every goddamn play, no sitting back and letting him get comfortable and size up the defense. He is going to use Edelman as a target 10-15 times against us. Just double team that guy at the LINE and smack the shit out of him!. Don't let him breath! Also got to stop the run big time! The Pats are going to stick 8-9 in the box and gang rush Mahomes. There is no doubt. That is all! |

Brady has looked very pedestrian this year. Our defense, over the last few weeks, has been very opportunistic. If we can force just one turnover, I like our chances. |
