After seeing this show listed on Netflix forever and a Day, and several rounds of thinking "maybe I should watch this"....wife and I finally started it last week. and ended up binging the entire thing.

absolutely love it. I have VERY low expectations going in, so maybe that helped. I liked how it doesn't really try to take itself too seriously; and I love how it seems to exist in this Valley / Karate universe / not based in reality. Just overall entertaining. Couldn't believe the number of original characters they rounded up / got them to agree to do it.

Zabka is absolutely awesome. I was shocked at how well he pulled this off.

as others have said, it does tend to feel a bit campy, but I reminded myself that I don't think their goal was to make some sort of serious series. The sound track is great too.

Granted, the wife and I are huge KK fans (not so much after 1 or 2) so I think that helps / pulls on the nostalgia strings. So glad we decided to watch it. Zabka makes it worth it to me.

Wonder if they bring back Bad Boy Mike Barnes. The KKIII villain Daniel fights in the championship.

I just binge watched all 3 seasons this weekend.

And while i enjoyed most of it, and wished i hadn't put it off for so long...the story is getting really ****ing lame.

All of the, "He mad at me, he isn't mad at me, he mad at me" shit is getting real old.

If we're making a 2nd trip around a love triangle, then it's ****ing played out.

After the 1st season i was all, "man, sucks this is only 3 seasons".

After the 3rd season i was all, "this really shoulda been over in 3 seasons, i can't believe it's getting more seasons".

Between Lawrence and LaRusso in this constant, "i respect you, i hate you" limbo every other episode, Robby being a whiny lame ass bitch (get over it, kid) and the LaRusso girl not figuring out who she wants to swap spit with next, the writing got real stale real fast.

And season 3 already told you that more of the same lame shit is coming in season 4.

I love this series and hate it at the same time.

Oh shit that's this week? I'm definitely in. I started this show this past summer and binge watched all 3 seasons in about a week.

It's a fun show. It's pretty dumb. You have people doing karate all over the place, but it's fun nonetheless.

Yea it definitely jumps the rails at times. Like the battle royal in the school. But overall it’s really well made. Made with alot of love towards the original movies.

IMO, a lot of these series need to wrap up in 3 seasons, like a trilogy. This story...there is nothing too it anymore. They'll have hijinx and drama, but it's played out. That said...of course I'll watch season 4. But that might be it. I just can't see this thing being good for 6 seasons.

It was good, but when they did the Silver PTSD & Kreese's sudden conscience concerning Johnny's wellbeing was irritating.

Yeah, I thought it was decent, not as good as previous seasons, I think season 5 looks to have a shot at being worthwhile.

At some point though, the stakes are gonna have to be raised to life and death to keep it interesting. I'm not sure how many seasons they plan on making, but I'd be fine with them wrapping it up in 5.

I want that unbeatable World Class athlete that brings mortifying dread that can and maybe will beat the senseis on all sides of Cobra Kai/Miyagi-Do/Eagle Fang dojos.

It must be pretty easy to become efficient at Karate, the little skinny kid that was getting bullied, became a top contender in the tournament after, what I’m guessing, was only a couple weeks of training.

Yes, this show is the ultimate example of suspension of belief.

I love the comedy value of Johny Lawrences' character. I know the show is stupid unrealistic, but its still light-hearted fun.

You don't really get to know him very well in the original Karate Kid. I didn't know what to expect from his character when I first started Cobra Kai. But he's without a doubt the best part of the show.

Good enough. It’s a show I can watch (and actually enjoy) with my teen and tween kids. That’s a rarity.

I was trying to figure out how this would end during each episode. I was right on how the tournament would go. I didn't see them bringing in the baddie from KK2. I like that and I'm still in.

Just finished 2nd episode. Kinda jumped the shark with Daniel taking out 5-6 young hockey players by himself. Right….

How does Daniel find anytime for LaRusso auto anymore? Nice twist with the young black kids older brother.

Don't take it too seriously, just enjoy Johnnys comedy.

On episode 6 now. While the drama is pretty cheesy at times, the comedy is still great.

The scene with Daniel and Johnny at the bar explaining who Terry Silver was had me rolling.

Johnny to the bartender. “Shut the f*** up”. ROFL


And the other scene with Daniel and his wife where she’s asking him about Silver says “ are there any other cobra Kai demons from your past we should know about?”

The comedy setup and writing is golden on this show.

Since I was like 5yrs old when the orig movies came out...I always thought Silver was much older than Daniel. lol

Carrie Underwood singing the song “Moment of Truth” by Survivor from the original movie is cringe worthy.

Last two episodes were really good. Loved the twists and turns and the story arcs. Very well done.

I like the Asian bully kid on Cobrai Kai. He’s funny and deserves more screen time.

The kids acting is cheesy as hell in this show, but he's a very under-appreciated villain and makes the show worth watching IMO.

TIG made the season, They'll need to create new villains if they want the series to continue without falling into a loop of SSDD. Hopefully the Sekai Taikai will bring the " Ivan Drago/Clubber Lang" unbeatable opponent

Just finished watching this season last night. Man, what a satisfying ending. Yes, the show has stuff that makes you cringe at times. Still, it is a lot of fun. The guy from Okinawa was the best. He made us laugh. And Johnny has been our favorite character from this entire series. Can't wait to see what they come up with for next season.

Everytime I drive by a karate place I have a strong urge to just pop my head in there and yell Cobra Kai Never Dies at the top of my lungs. Beat up some little kids and leave.

What’s with shows putting out half seasons now. I watched all six episodes in one day and now have to wait until the middle of November for the other half!?

Just wait until you realize that's only the 2nd third, not half. The 1st third of the final season is out now, the 2nd third comes out in November, the final third comes out some time in 2025.

I'm a full season behind at this point.

It essentially turned into a CW show and got pretty damn difficult to watch. Eventually I'll binge the last couple seasons when they're all released but it went downhill pretty fast.

I admit I do love easter egg garbage so a few of the character callbacks and interactions throughout have been kind of fun.

But yeah. I got through the first scene of season 6 and turned it off. I was like, "They've ran this sequence/permutation with all possible variations already and they're going to do it again." It's too repetitive.

Just finished the most recent season (or the second third of it) and yeah, it gets pretty over the top. Still, I have enjoyed it. But that whole Robbie being distracted storyline was stupid and overdone. :banghead:

All that said, I eagerly wait for the final episodes in Feb. (or was that March?)

It got really bad starting in season 3. I obligation watched the season where Kreese eventually broke out of prison (so maybe season 5?) and just can't bring myself to pick it back up.

Couldn’t make it past 3-4 episodes in of part 1 final season. Maybe I’ll pick it back up when part 3 is released
