None.

I bathe. I don't need cologne.

The shit stinks, just like perfume.

If you think your cologne is a factor in pulling ass, you need to work on the things that actually help one pull ass... like being charming, dressing good, ect.

FTR I don't really wear Cologne - I use to use Polo Sport in High School - that was my fav. I still have the one bottle I got as a gift when I was in like 8th grade

A few years back my aunt sent this to me as a gift and I wear it probably 1-2x a year

I'm not as down on it as you are but the stuff is ubiquitous. Every high schooler has the stuff. Every club hopping guide has the stuff. And they all bathe in it.

My rotation is green Irish tweed, silver mountain water, and vetiver. I will rotate some other ones in there but those are my go to trinity.

I recently got a John Varvatos gift set.
The "Artisan" fragrance has gotten me quite a few compliments.
I also like the "Artisan Black."

I'd never heard of the line before February, but it's definitely high on my list now.

SuperChief 03-29-2014 12:22 PM

In high school I was all over Cool Water. Now I typically gravitate towards Armani Code and a cologne made by Hollister (can't think of the name) - it's an interesting blend of woodsy and sweet smelling.

I just ordered some of the Paris Hilton for Men. I'm interested to see how that turns out.

EDIT: If I get AIDS from this, mother****ers...

I've rolled around the idea of getting some Silver Mountain, but I have a hard time getting away from the heavier Orientals just because I like them so much. I know it's a personal thing, but the grassiness of the Vetiver types comes off as gasoline-ish to my nose.

I do like to have a four seasonal, casual and dress cologne rotation though. I am in need of a couple of new Spring and Summer scents.

It has been this:

Spring Casual: Chanel Platinum Egoiste
Spring Formal: Chanel Allure Homme

Summer Casual: Jean Paul Gautier Le Male Summer
Summer Formal: Paloma Picasso Minotaure

Autumn Casual: Rochas Man
Autumn Formal: Gucci Pour Homme

Winter Casual: Diesel Zero Plus
Winter Formal: Thierry Mugler A-Men

I do wish that Calvin Klein would re-re-issue their original "Calvin" though.

No joke. I've tried/had hundreds of different types of cologne. If you wear this, you are GUARANTEED to receive some extra attention. The stuff is an absolute chick-magnet. What sucks is being asked the inevitable question of, "what is that sexayyy cologne you are wearing???" To be honest, replying with "oh, I'm wearing Paris Hilton for Men" is straight up embarrassing to me. So I usually make something up on the spot. For example, last week one of my wife's friends asked me what kind of cologne I was wearing and I replied with, "uhhhh.....errr.....Casablanca!!!" "Casablanca" was the first thing that came to mind because there was a "Casablanca" poster hanging behind her when she asked me. She responded with, "well, I'm going to have to get my husband some because that is the best scent ever."

CHICKS...FREAKING...LOVE...PARIS HILTON FOR MEN. And it's cheap...it's only like $15 on Ebay.

I saw this post and decided to give it a shot shortly thereafter. I'm just about done with a bottle - it's been magical. I have definitely received more positive attention with this scent than any others I've tried. Kudos to you, man. Srsly.

It doesn't smell bad, just off. Like a stronger chemical-y scent than what I remember. The other's smell fine. The Bleu de Chanel cologne I have is like $140 a bottle. I especially don't want to toss it.

The real question is whether you would wear it as a cologne in the present state.

Yes, there is a website where you can check if your product is still within usefulness.

https://www.checkfresh.com/?lang=en

I have a bottle of Marc Jacobs which I kept that is definitely past expiration but it still smells nice but more like a spray than a cologne.

I normally use everything I buy new now within 8-12 months.

Main thing to remember is not to buy product already past date.

I feel like all Dior's work better for me during the winter, just something about their core scent

Honestly its so dry out here in the desert that I'm more of a fragrant moisturizer person now since I'm continually applying SPF. The smell of any cologne when its 100+ degrees out makes me start dry coughing, its not built for that

Never have used Drakkar Noir.

Polo Sport by Ralph Lauren

Platinum Egoiste by Chanel
Hugo Boss
Safari by Ralph Lauren

I used to buy another 15-20 different colognes but they were mostly musky or strong. Good when young but no longer.

Back in the late 90's, early 2000 I had found a cologne wholesaler in Brooklyn that sold everything about 70% off. It was incredible. I made one giant purchase of over $700 and had about 23 or 24 bottles.

I made one last purchase around 2004 and then they were forced to shut down as they were selling too cheap. I think they sell to the online guys now as their wholesaler.

I’ve honestly never bought cologne one time in my life. It was always a gift from either my mom or siblings.

I would occasionally dab myself.

But I got into several moments while being intimate with various women. First one said she didn’t enjoy the yucky taste of my neck while necking. She preferred my “natural” fragrance. After two or maybe three occasions when the ladies expressed the same thoughts and feelings, I gave up on cologne, and truth be told, anytime I’ve ever been intimate since, they’ve expressed how “good” I smell and taste. So yeah, I’ve kinda been cologne free for about 20 years.

I liked eternity for men. It worked when I was younger and I liked the smell. I still wear it.

I sprayed it twice between my skin and my undershirt. That's it - that was the only place. It didn't radiate off of me like Chernobyl and didn't risk the life and limb of others around me.

If you got close enough you got a whiff. You had to want to be there to begin with.

I stopped wearing cologne two decades ago. Made no sense to spray myself with scented alcohol. I do find it gay for a man to spray cologne to 'smell good'. **** that shit.

I don't use no wash cloth or scrub to clean my body. That's added gayness.

I keep it simple. A bar of unscented soap to wash my body and face. And moisturizer to get rid of the dry skin and protect from sunburn.

I own one pair of shoes and replace them when they wear out. Enough clothes to last two weeks and rewash. Preferably neutral, masculine colors.
