The Colt's defense did not play well enough to win either. But they won because their offense was productive enough to overcome that. I do lament that we scored 6 points off of the last 6 drives of the game, including one that started in their territory with an interception. I lament that many other teams would have taken more advantage of those 6 drives and would be celebrating now. We didn't have to be helpless while our defense melted down. |

The whole team choked just like the last 20 years. No one worthy of praise. |

Smith had one bad really bad play and that was the intentional grounding. Other than that, he played a great game and we should have won. Our D was torn to shreds the 2nd half of the season.

Don't let these eunuchs ruin the amazing efforts that the team has put out this year, drown out their trolling for your own sanity.

He can play a great game one week and suck shit for the next 5. It's his entire career in a nutshell. I want consistency out of a QB. |

and ive bashed as much as ANYONE |
Only a complete fool would put this loss on anything to do with Alex Smith.
Dude played out of his mind today. |
I'm not completely sure Alex is all that or Reid & company coached their asses off. Chase mother****ing Daniels & a crew of backups took Rivers to OT.

Alex Smith's first 300 yard passing game as a Chief.
And it's a loss. He seriously was launching that ball. And that last throw to DBowe was about about a half hard wide. So close. |

Can you ****ing read? |

We have a lot of talent and are well coached. Need help on the defense though. That was a travesty. |
I don't get why he can't play like that all the time.
That was a phenomenal performance |

You don't lose a 28 point second half lead because one side of the ball isn't doing their job. You lose a 28 point second half lead because neither side of the ball is doing their job. |
Like, seriously.
The only reason we had a chance in that game? Alex. It pains me to say that, but it's true. |
Alex had a great game. He had a Franchise QB type game, period.
Sorry haters, after that game he gets extended. |

Dude was already getting extended half way through the season. Did you miss the 9-0 start? |

So you guys would give Smith a Cutler like deal? Wow

Alex Smith still made good throws in the 2nd half but with absolutely no running game we were one dimensional. |

He was moving around in the pocket as well as anyone in the game, was accurate on nearly all his throws, was killing them n option plays with his mobility, wasnt afraid to throw the all on time, helped weather storm after storm of crucial injuries and made big play after big play while protecting the ball like a BOSS. The performance by Smith today was one of the best playoff performances by a quarterback of the Chiefs that I've ever seen. IMO this was a more impressive performance than Trent in 2003 ne as good as any I can remember of Montana from the early 90s. |

At what point do we try to find a future franchise qb?

$10m to Chase. $19m to Colquitt. The man has been tossing money around like the Chiefs don't have future cap problems. |

He is one of the most worthless posters on the site. Seriously, if the guy posts something and you want to have a good chance at being spot on in the conversation...just say the opposite of what he does. Alex Smith played the quarterback position as well as it can be played today. |

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>per <a href="https://twitter.com/footballfacts">@footballfacts</a>: Alex Smith is the first NFL QB ever to throw 4+ TD and 0 INT in a playoff game, and lose <a href="https://twitter.com/NFLRT">@NFLRT</a></p>— Justin Henry (@JRHWriting) <a href="https://twitter.com/JRHWriting/statuses/419665561350463488">January 5, 2014</a></blockquote>

But he did have a crucial fumble.

The dude was sliding around in the pocket the whole game. He looked like Big Ben out there. |

Alex is becoming a very good quarterback, some assholes inability to see passed the past is getting to levels of ridiculousness. Denial is bad for your mental health, stop living a lie.
|
Smith played outstanding in the first half and overall had a great game. While the majority of the blame should go to the defense, the offense not finishing several drives kept the Colts in it.

Doug Pederson told Smith he held the ball too long. Who was Pederson blaming?

The guy avoided the pressure like a camp today, I'm not gonna eat his lunch because he couldn't avoid every unblocked defender. |
