There's no doubt and the cool thing is we forget the times he didn't make that play... that game was an odd time for me. I was watching it with a buddy, another long-time fan. Before the game, we were both talking about how surreal it was to be watching that game with an all-time great QB leading the way.

Then the dramatics of the game had us both just mentally in a place neither of us had been with that team and the expecations since the late 90s.

Yeah, that was some pretty grotesque cheating by the Donks - making it even more ironic when they lied to the league about the Chargers using Stickum last year because they were losing and needed a distraction/excuse.

Wow, that's not what happened at all. The Chargers were using a grip-enhancing towel, which was banned as a result of the investigation, and the Chargers were fined $20,000 for trying to hide the towels when the official asked to see them.

Those "Gorilla Gold" towels were already being privately investigated by the league before the incident and had been openly used by every team for over a decade prior (including your Donks). The NFL also came out and said that the Chargers didn't break any rules by using them.

Face it - the Donks were losing, they apparently felt they needed a distraction, and they lied and exaggerated in order to create one. Considering how suck-awful the Chargers were that year, it just makes the Donks look pathetic that they couldn't beat us straight-up.

What did they lie about?

They claimed that the Chargers were using stickum when they were actually using a certain brand of towel that every team in the league had.

They claimed that the Chargers were using this "stickum" to get a better grip on the ball, when in reality, those towels were only used to dry the ball, the players' gloves and their arms.

They made it sound like the Chargers cheated their way to a 24-0 lead when they did nothing of the sort.

The Broncos didn't claim anything. The line judge noticed something fishy and asked to see the towels. The Charger's equipment guy tried to hide the towels, and thus the investigation/fine occurred.

Also, can you provide a link to show that the Broncos used the same towels?
