We got screwed on that reversal. Absolutely screwed.

LMAO @ The under center snap.

There's a lot of Stafford in him. He won't be NFL ready in year 1 (major learning curve), but he's a first round talent.

Completely agree with this. Draft him, sit him, and acquire a vet.

And please hang on to the ****ing snap.

I don't disagree that Daniel had a far better grasp of the offense.

And Mizzou was completely screwed out of 4 points.

Daniel played in this offense for 3 years in HS and another 4 years in college.

He knew it as well as his coaches did. Comparing anyone to Daniel isn't really fair.

Gabbert is clearly better within the offense than he was last season and he's progressing about as would be expected.

His teammates love him (around town, he's thought of more highly than Daniel was) and the kid is as sturdy as you'll find.

He's an NFL prospect without question.

kcpasco 10-16-2010 11:40 AM

Just kick the ****ing FG

ozarkchief 10-16-2010 11:40 AM

Is there an A & M alum up in the replay booth? Heh

Bowser 10-16-2010 11:41 AM

Bad reffing coupled with bad coaching = 4 points off the board. Good god.

Hey, he lined it up on 2nd down and they couldn't handle the snap. I give them credit there.

The officials stole 4 points from us, simple as that.

DeezNutz 10-16-2010 11:41 AM

Bad taste b/c of the four-point ****ing, but that's still a great half.

Saul Good 10-16-2010 11:41 AM

That makes me sick. I think the first team to 20 wins. I thought we had it.

I'd give credit if they ran it more often. Then maybe they wouldn't suck at it.

Yep.

3.5 point dogs up by 16 on the road at halftime. Not too shabby.

I'm not saying that he doesn't. I just can't say that he does. He is absolutely an NFL prospect, but he should come back. I'm not sure if Franklin won't be a better fit for our offense even though Gabbert is the better pure QB.

RINGLEADER 10-16-2010 11:44 AM

Chiefs get two field goals, and three TDs (one by long rush, one by defense/ST). They trail 27-20 when the third TD comes on a Cassel bootleg and Haley goes for 2 to seal the win in the final moments. Chiefs win 28-27.

The NFL's a different game, that's for sure.

Hell, did Freeman really scare anyone in college? I thought he was way, way overrated going into the draft... but he's doing well so far.

Saul Good 10-16-2010 11:52 AM

This defense is for real, but they have gotten lucky a couple of times today. That said, If we can keep winning and advancing, you never know what might happen.

Saul Good 10-16-2010 11:53 AM

I just realized that I haven't heard a single chirp in this thread from the squawks fans. I wonder why that could be. If we give up a couple of scores, you know they will be here.

Lol. Even the staunchest Beaker Buddy has most likely reached the conclusion that they should just stfu when it comes to trash talking the rivals.

Hopefully the second half is more of the same. We really need to fix these breakdowns in the secondary at halftime, though.

Wow, Madison yet again.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-16-2010 12:16 PM

Ok, this defense is ****ing legit.

FWIW, I've always been of the belief that you can tell the quality of a team's recruiting by the ability of their defenders, as it's easy for subpar teams in CFB to put up good offenses b/c of the rules. Our recruiting since 2007 is really starting to show on the defensive side of the ball.

Shocked at the defensive improvement. I have been a lil down on Missouri this year. But an offense that isn't as high scoring as before but dangerous plus a decent defense? This is interesting.
