As I've stated in another thread, obviously it was a fumble. It was a bad break. Shit happens. Eight points were scored after this bad break. Your team failed to man up when confronted with some adversity. I hope the actually Charger players are dwelling on this as much as the Charger fans and their new BFFs Chief fans.
The exact same play happened in the Bears/Broncos game last year. Our player (Abdullah I believe) had picked up the fumble and had a clear path to the endzone, but it wasn't to be. You haven't heard much hubbub about that play, have you? Most of you probably don't even know it happened. There certainly wasn't an uproar about it. I was more pissed we couldn't stop Devin freakin' Hester and gave the game away. But life goes on. |

Then look at the box score of that game...and tell me what you see. Funny how the only people whining about greased jerseys on the Donks o-line are chiefs fans. Did Jacksonville complain...did the Steelers...did Green Bay? No...only the panty waste fans from KANSAS CITY!!! |
apparently the bad call sent LT's wife into tears .....
http://www.signonsandiego.com/sports...rs-turner.html LaDainian Tomlinson, slowed by a jammed right big toe, said the Chargers weren't the only ones bothered by the call. “I don't know if there's any way you can work around it in your mind, it's just point-blank to me just a missed call,” Tomlinson said. “You know, so many people are affected by it. That's the thing that's most disappointing. Because it's not just us, it's our families, it's the fans. “Prime example: I call my wife after the game and she had been crying, all because of this call. It happens, but, you know, it's huge. That's a big play because they all realize how much we put into it, and that was the one thing she was talking about was how much heart this team had showed and was fighting back, and won the game. Had the game won and to have the game taken away from you, it was tough.” Nonetheless, the Chargers know they have to move on. |

All it takes to flush you turds is a couple of Donx losses, and I'm sure those will be upcoming soon. Sure we suck this year, but you can't play us and the Raiders and steal games from San Diego every week. |

I'd feel bad too if my favorite team had a 4 headed monster of Tyler Thigpen, Brodie Croyle, Damon Huard, and Marques Hagans at QB and all 4 had thrown a pass by week 2 of the regular season. Vent. Serenity now. Hoochie Mama! |

However, when you give a team that should have lost a shot to win on the 10 yard line, its really not fair. Call me a whiny bitch, I don't care. You guys got lucky, but I have yet to see any one of you admit it. |

Now stop being such a whiny bitch. (Not that you care or anything.) |

WTF are chargers and donkey fans fighting on a chiefs board?
dubya tee eff indeed, **** both your franchises, to hell i say arghhh We'll do our best to increase both of your chances of getting in the playoffs with our 2 games a piece and you'll help us get closer to that #1 pick |

Last year we found ourselves in the same situation. Good Luck to you guys though, I really think that your defense will let you down. I know ours is suspect, but we will turn it around, count on it. |

It really is interesting though. You've called me a one who sucks the penis, a pussy and for Christ's sake a sorority girl. And all the while never been able to back up any of your assertions. Dude you're one pinky grip from flying off the handle and I'm not sure that it hasn't slipped yet. I'm not trolling. This thread relates to the Donks. You're flat out silly. |

And I ask - are we having this conversion on a Bronco BB? No. You're a typical sniping troll who has come here to the Chiefs board to delight in kicking us when we are down. Again, we all know the kind of person who does that. If the shoe fits, wear it. And I figure that shoe has a long, spiky heel. |

If the Donks greased their jerseys and were cheating...it wouldn't be very hard at all to use the google or the yahoo, and find quotes from the Jags, Chiefs, Steelers, or Packers players...all of who the Donks beat in the same postseason. |

The Chargers still could have stopped us on 3rd and 10, 4th and 4, on the 2 point conversion, and they had 26 seconds to get into field goal range against our horrible pass defense.
It was a blown call but the Chargers still had a chance to win. Charger fans need to quit crying about it. |
Quote:
The Broncos didn't cheat. The refs made a mistake. It's not the first time it happened and its not the last. |

If Sunday's call had been correct, it would have been a "walk off" situation. The game was completely over at that point, unless of course you think it's likely that the Chargers would have fumbled on a kneel down. THAT is the reason this is getting so much attention. The screwed up call DIRECTLY changed the outcome of the game. The play you're referring to may have influenced the outcome, but you never know what would have happened if the TD was allowed. The Bears might have been pissed off about it and ended up coming back to win anyway. We'll never know how that play INDIRECTLY affected the outcome of the game, so the outrage isn't near as strong. |

The Chargers still could have stopped the Broncos on 3rd and 10, 4th and 4, the 2 point conversion, and could have gotten into field goal range with 26 seconds left. Bad call but it didn't give the Broncos the win. They still had to convert. Heck you guys had 4 chances to get into the endzone against the Pats inside the 5 yard line and you couldn't make it. The Chargers still had a chance. |

Either way even if you had 2. Chargers Run a play 1:15 left time out 2nd down we run a play 1:10 left, time out 3rd down run a play 25 seconds left 4th down. 4th down, we punt and likely put you in your own territory with 20 seconds or left to drive down the field for a TD. This is all assuming you had 2 timeouts and could stop us from getting a first down. It'd be a little more fair if it happened that way, dont you think? |
DAMN all this and you are still 0-2 just like us chiefs

The only thing that sucks regardless of the outcome of donks/dolts is the rat has a franchise QB and is the best QB in our division.

Watching the game from my living room I was still nervous about us getting a TD, I was nervous about the 2 point conversion. And when Rivers threw that deep pass to Gates on the first play, I thought that our defense would let us down. |
Yeah the ref may have handed Denver another chance to win, but they still had to score a td and 2 point, all SD needed was one stop. Doesn't make the call right, but the defense could've made that a moot point

As of right now we aren't driving to the game. We'll be taking a trolley and just finding a cool tailgate to get drunk at. |

The schedule gets somewhat easy after the Chargers game, and I think they will start to mesh together after the bye week in two weeks and make a run. I see 10-6 or maybe better. |
