If he does then I totally understand. We would be fine. Rashee was taking over as the new Kelce. Him and Worthy alone are gonna be a great combo. Would most likely keep Hollywood as well.

This is a great year to draft a TE. We need to do it regardless of Kelce’s decision

It feels too early. Dude literally just lit up the Texans. If I had to guess he finishes his contract and next year is his last.

I also recognize some monster opportunities may be waiting on him on the other side. Maybe he wants to take advantage of that while the iron is hot so to speak. His celebrity status outside of football will never be bigger.

Would be interesting what Veach would do with that $20M in cap savings if Travis did move on.

Guys if he wins he is proposing and retiring all on stage after the game.

He is the greatest showman.

I don't think he would do that, that's almost like proposing to your girlfriend at someone else's wedding. Don't make it about you.

Really...He just told Pat MacAfee that he still enjoyed coming to work and could not see himself walking away.

ForeverIowan 02-08-2025 07:48 PM

Travis Kelce and Myles Garrett have damn near IDENTICAL 2025 cap hits. Just sayin...

Iconic 02-08-2025 07:50 PM

i really don't think he's retiring. most of the words out of his own mouth have said the exact opposite. i think he plays out his contract at minimum and from there it's a crapshoot.

philfree 02-08-2025 07:53 PM

Travis can make so much money with a farewell tour...He's the perfect personality for a farewell tour...win or lose I think he plays one more year.

Okchief80 02-08-2025 07:55 PM

I could see him retire if we win. I am just I got to see him play for my favorite team. I would be cool with another year. I hope he decides soon after the game. We need to spend that money off he is retiring.

Rain Man 02-08-2025 08:03 PM

I hope he's still around for the quadripeet. But I've noticed in the playoff games that players have been coming up after the wins with some worrisome poignancy. I hope I'm just imagining that.

We love your imagination:clap:

It makes no sense for him to retire. Just the other day he was asked what he thinks he will be doing in 3 years and he said hopefully playing football. There are so many reasons for him to keep playing and not really many reasons why he should retire.

He's said that he would hang them up when he is no longer helping the team. He's probably no longer the best TE in the league, but he is top 3-5.

He was a huge reason why we won the first Houston playoff game.

He's due to make $11.5 mil just for being on the roster and an additional $4.5 mil during the season.

He's played this game for probably close to 30 years and he knows when he quits, then he's never playing again. Guys like him retire when they can't play at a high level anymore.

I don't predict it but it would not surprise me.

I don't quite buy it, but it's definitely a possibility at the very least.

I could see it. He'd be the only player in the history of the league to retire as a three-time defending champ, and he might sync up going into the Hall of Fame with his brother if he did it. Plus, he's been dabbling with roles in movies, has his broadcasting/podcasting career in front of him, and he does date some gal that might be famous or something.

I could definitely see him hanging it up if we win.

There are other ways to play football outside the NFL. Maybe in his own series
