What’s the primary reason? I’ve read it all and don’t know what to believe.

Well for starters, he was implicated in recruiting scandal at CU many years ago involving paying players with sex and drugs. He's reportedly had outburst and anger management issues going back to college. Since leaving the Chiefs, he's interviewed several places but can't get a second interview due to what people have called a lack of vision. He's been fired multiple places.

He may very well have been a big contributor in KC but we sure didn't lose anything when he left. People don't like Nagy but at least that's based on stuff on the field.

Yeah. Trey Smith is gonna be making a lot of money playing in Chicago

That would be a great move for both him and the Bears.

If he could find a way to change his spots, and be a little closer to how Andy runs things instead of being a loose cannon I think he could be a good HC. But with him it would absolutely depend on who he brings in as OC/DC if he will be successful if another chance ever comes. He definitely seemed like he was very prepared, just like the team was when he was OC here. He’s just more of a hard ass, and Nagy is more of a players coach. And didn’t he supposedly throw fruit at Patrick or Reek during halftime of the Bengals playoff loss?

I do think this is a great marriage for both sides. Bieniemy provides Johnson with that Dan Campbell type tough guy coach to promote accountability and Eric gets another shot with what appears to be a really good staff.

I think Chicago is gonna be a playoff team next year

In my mind any supposed OC under Andy Reid is more like Quality Control Coach, like the label they gave Childress

Its Reids show and they're all just communicators, conduits of information from the boss who help ensure everyone is hearing the message correctly... yeah Andy keeps it secretive to help spread the love to his guys, but thats what it boils down to

Having over-qualified coaches is excellent. If the egos can be managed and everyone gets along it's a huge advantage.

DV did it.

Now, that's not a long list of people I just listed but anyone can change.
