Meh. playoff stats notwithstanding, I don't think there's a ton of difference between the two, other than Goff obviously has a better arm. Neither probably can put a team on his shoulders and win a big game for you. They both need a complete team around them, and an OC that can hide their flaws/weaknesses consistently, or they'll get exposed pretty quickly.

He wasn't great in the recent game. They scored 14 points on offense. Toney's fluke Pick 6 was the game-changing play in favor of the Lions.

He played well against us. Our defense is just very good.

Jared Goff: 22/35, 253 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT, 1 sack
Trevor Lawrence: 22/41, 216, 0 TD, 0 INT, 4 sacks
Justin Fields: 11/22, 99 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 3 sacks
Zach Wilson: 28/39, 245 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT, 2 sacks
Kirk Cousins: 29/47, 284 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT, 3 sacks
Russell Wilson: 13/22, 95 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT, 4 sacks

Charlie had Matt playing and moving within the pocket pretty well. IIIRC he was gettig the ball out pretty quickly that first year too. It's been awhile but it really seemd like that first seaon with a serviceable Casshole was ALL Charlie Weiss.

Of course he's the only QB in that list who did not have to face Chris Jones. That helps, lol

Isn't he the only QB Mahomes hasn't beaten out of the ones he's played against? Unless they had a third meeting I'm forgetting about.

That's correct. Hopefully get some payback in the next meeting.

It took scoring 54 points and then playing the Chiefs without Chris Jones/Travis Kelce to go 2-0 vs Mahomes.

Regular season.

Let's see how he does when the lights shine bright.

Do you know what Quarterbacks and Politicians have in common?
They get too much credit when things are good and too much blame when things are bad!

Bump 10-20-2023 02:29 PM

he's not a bad QB, not a great one but not bad. He could dilfer a team to success if they are talented enough.

I've also witnessed Goff's team beating the best QB that the NFL has ever seen at least twice, which made me sad but it's actually impressive that he has at least 2 wins vs Mahomes. The monday night shootout when he was on the Rams and week 1 vs Detroit, which the Chiefs beat themselves that game more than anything. Coulda easily won if we only had like 5 drops that game.

Another QB that I think it pretty good that Chiefsplanet thinks is shit is Tua, dude can play

He made it to a Super Bowl where he played a bad game. He’s seen the bright lights.

For Goff to succeed, he needs a strong running game.

In LA when he took them to the SB, he had Todd Gurley. When Gurley lost it, Goff became ineffective.

Goff lit it up last season in Detroit because they had a strong running game, the y had a RB with 17 rushing TDs (or so). Give him a running game, and he can put up points.

However, he's not Patrick with the game on the line or in third and long.

Luck is def a part of it. Mahomes came to a playoff team, HOF coach, and sat for a year. Not many 1st round picks get that kind of luck.

Also, Goff is apart of that "burgeoning team" since the get go.

completing 70 percent of his passes at 8.0 YPA is impressive

let's see how he deals with the ravens #2 defense
