I believe Firefall "Strange Way" is one great song, really typifies the 70's.

What I hate is some no talent comes along and picks a hit from 20 years ago and re-records the song and it becomes something great for them. Celine Dion is one of those who just records other singers songs and then gets the credit. I know she had a hit in the 90's with The Power of Love. I remember watching Johnny Carson about 1983 and this black girl from England came out and did that song, which I had never heard before, and I went out and bought the album the next day. Here she is from 1985.

I was 14 in '76 and musically wouldn't change it for any other period,it was like a big bang of rock took place early in the decade and all these sub genres were created...

New Wave,Punk,Electronic,Alternative,Rap etc.

Steely Dan was a must when I used to get stoned too.
