On the question of games being "fixed" the Courts basically said "Your choice to be a fan." So buyer beware.

JFC some loser sued the NFL for $185M over "spygate"? They totally should've ruled in his favor. The NFL punished the Pats anyway for it

I seriously hope you aren’t this stupid. I’m beginning to wonder though.

Don't forget that Morten Andersen and Lawrence Tynes ALSO shanked postseason kicks.

I think we've lost every postseason game in which we missed a kick.

Peters is one of the few players with attitude and fire on the defense. There is zero guarantee that a drafted corner would be nearly as good. Again, good teams don’t trade exceptionally talented young players just because they are a little rough around the edges.

If you really believe the games are rigged, then you are one stupid mother****er for even considering paying for front row seats again.

Did setting the edge keep us from blowing an 18 point lead or forcing a single punt from the Titans in the second half? Where was Houston in the fourth quarter? Peters has attitude, all right. Enough attitude to punt balls and throw flags into the stands, get in shouting matches on the sidelines with coaches and get suspended for disciplinary reasons. Can't guarantee you could find a first round corner with his ball skills, but could guarantee you could find a guy that won't draw a suspension. And that's "Mister Stupid Mother****er" thank you. At least I put my money where my mouth is. I think the NFL is too big to script every game -like WWF can script a wrestling match- but I do think refs have the ability to steer games, especially with pass interference and roughing the passer calls, holding calls (or no holding calls) or episodes like Mr. Triplette's forward progress calls. Now that's truly some Hogwash.

Good job as always George. Generally your write-ups are more entertaining than the game.

I don't know how old you are, but I've been in person to all six straight of our home playoff losses. It's been 25 years since we won a home playoff game. Jacksonville just did what we couldn't do in the last 25 years. Digest That. Guess what the Chiefs have said during that 25 year span? "Growing pains...the outlook is pointing up!' I just hope you don't have to spend your adult life waiting for a Super Bowl. It sucks.

I'm convinced nobody on here will be alive when the Chiefs win the Superbowl but with an explosive offense and improved defense next year I'd expect us to win a home playoff game

I am not an avid drinker. My wife has epilepsy and relies on me driving her from Point A to Point B (and if necessary, Point C). Thus, I simply never took up drinking. After last night though, I told the wife point-blank, "We're not going anywhere tonight, I'm going out to get some 6-packs.". I drank the night away. So yes, technically: this team has led me to drinking.

The same as you George, I'm livid that Andy didn't want to be fined; so he didn't lay into the officials in the post-game presser. But then again, I suppose his action (or inaction) matches the organization as a whole: dying without a whimper.

Bring on, Mahomes. That's the only thing keeping me from throwing in the towel.

Enjoy the offseason, George and thanks for another season of 10 Things.

Respectfully, not one of your better Top 10. You stated you are tired; hope you get some rest.

Your rant was too long and too filled with drama. Golden Corral because you are personally upset that he would not rip the refs...are you willing to pay his fine? Sexually assaulting...would your wife approved of that prose? You are better than than.

Your Hunt characterization was disappointing. We have seen time and time again where Clark writes checks to support his executive team's decisions. He may need to change executives again; but to state that you KNOW he doesn't care is flat wrong.

I've been a fan since '67. And will never give up supporting. Looks like you may have. Sorry to read that. PM me if you want to sell the rights to your excellent seats.

ROFL

gblowfish 01-07-2018 03:48 PM

Oh, and they don't run to the right because on the left we've had Zombo, Dee Ford or Tamba Hali. Sure, that's an easy choice. Stlll doesn't mean this defense didn't give up more than 200 yards rushing in a home playoff game with Houston on the field. Just saying we should get more mileage for $16 mill a year. DT was known to disappear in playoff games too.

Most owners are then. The NFL is very dynastic and only a few franchises have had much glory. We are in a peer group of 2nd tier franchises (Chargers, Vikings, Dolphins etc) that do the best with what we have. That's better than all the bottom feeder franchises who suck nearly every season.

Idk about that.

Every team in our division, including Seattle who used to be in our division, has been to the SB in the last 22 years.

It’s embarrasing.

I really truly hope you're right. Just don't bet the farm on it.

George you've really came across as an angry old man the past few months and this 10 things was nothing but doom and gloom bullshit that this board has always been about. You're right this was never a super bowl team and it was never about this year from the moment we traded up for Mahomes.

This year was a success. Smith played his way into getting us a very nice draft pick, Hill proved he is a #1 WR, and Hunt is arguably the best RB in the league.

Sure to ahead and fire Sutton. Any DC would have sucked that 2nd half. This D-line has proven it's not shit outside of Chris Jones. Allen Bailey needs to be shown the door as does Logan. Jarvis Jenkins isn't good enough for the arena league. We upgraded at ILB this year with KPL & Ragland. Sign a guy like Talib and out secondary is the new "No Fly Zone". We won't win as many games next year because we will have an inexperienced QB. Growing pains are to be expected but the outlook on this team is pointing up.

How many drops did Hill have yesterday when he was needed? 4?

I suppose if going to 1 SB (and getting annihilated) once in the past 30 years like SD or Oak would make you a happier fan, I won't tell you how to feel. Most teams haven't been tho.
