I shared that with friends who were at my house last night for the party I threw for my Cubs friends and others. We were dancing around like a bunch of Kansas city pillowbiters ourselves. And I'm not a Cubs fan.

I told them "Too bad I'll be dead before the Chiefs win a Super Bowl so I won't know what that feels like".

It's only funny cuz it's true.

Since rooting for the Cubs would be like rooting for the Raiders for me, I can only say that I'm happy for my Cubs fan friends. I was not rooting for them. I wasn't really rooting for the Indians either, but at least the one WS game I got to catch ended up being an epic one.

I saw 7-8 Chicago cops huddled around a tv in a little corner pizza place when I was walking back home after the 8th. You could tell they all swarmed on the closest tv they could find, like pretty much everyone else at that moment.
