It's a no-brainer to choose LA over those teams. Smart move by Nash, dude wants to win a title.

This is why they need Howard.

Kobe, Gasol, and Nash are all old. Howard makes them a championship team but with Nash right now they'd lose in 7 to OKC.

This is exactly why this is such a brilliant deal...it could land them Howard and an extension, who could play with those two and win a ring possibly and then take over when they retire.

Those draft picks even as first rounders will be late picks so it's not going to hurt too much.

Yeah those picks don't mean shit.

Now you got Nash who works well with Gasol but if you get Howard you could move Gasol for some nice bench players and a shooter? Or do you keep what you have (which still isn't bad at all).

Don't understand the Lakers love for non-locals. I simply cannot fully embrace any team that isn't a part of my personal roots.

If I were you I wouldn't be a Chiefs fan.

Now normally that would be an enviable position, but my personal roots would have made me a Vikings fan.

I'll take Chiefs fan, thank you very much.

Peeler could ball. That makes some sense. I'm not anti-NBA, but it's just that I've never lived in an NBA city, so I don't claim a team.

Since there's never been a local NBA team the first player I ever picked up on as a kid was Magic and I've been a Lakers fan since the first time I saw him play.

Sidenote: Anthony Peeler's cousin is my lifelong best friend...dude is really cool.

I've lived in LA for over 5 years. I have been trying to embrace the Clippers for 3 or 4 of those years, but it's still a work in progress. I don't remember starting to root for any other team I currently root for. It's just a part of me. Makes it difficult to really care about a new team.

So what would get Howard to L.A? Bynum and what...1st round picks from 2145? I don't know how many picks we have to move. Or other players.

what makes getting Howard to LA is telling that big idiot crybaby to put LA on his list at #1 instead of the Nets.

Hence why people think LA going and getting Nash could be enough to persuade Howard to tell the Magic to trade him to LA.

I believe the Magic FO had LA as a much higher option for a trade partner than whatever clowns the Nets could offer

Jerm 07-04-2012 08:31 PM

Howard makes 19 mil, Bynum makes 16 mil...can make a trade fairly easily with the near matching salaries.

Mr. Laz 07-04-2012 08:43 PM

I disapprove, i'm sending Mr. Nash to the Hornets /Stern.

Mr. Kotter 07-04-2012 08:48 PM

Nash...at this point in his career...who cares? Seriously.... LMAO
