So are they planning on playing the starters longer than the typical 1 series they usually do in the 4th pre-season game? I am hearing they will and think they should given the circumstances of the off-season.

The starters have got to get in there and get some time executing at game speed. I'd say at least the 1st half which is probably 1 1/2 quarters, if not longer in some cases than you normally would play them.

Because last week Haley put Palko in for 1 series with the first string because he said it was vital to know how the backup would perform with the 1st string. And since the backup position is still up for grabs, it makes sense to give Stanzi the same look. Not really rocket science.
