frankly, if a major conference wants KU and not KSU, I'm not sure the KS BOR has the power to keep them together.

it would take a lawsuit or going private to go against the Board head-on. I think it's tied to state funding.

a little bribery behind the scenes might work :)

Heh. Paging Lew Perkins...

If the BOR's goal is to protect the interest of the state, I'm sure having one university in a BCS conference and one in a mid-major conference is preferable to having both in mid-majors. Their attempt to help would instead hurt everyone across the board.

If you think basketball KU is a big draw for any conference and KSU is a good draw. Football both teams have been uper middle road the past few years so niether team is a bad candidate for conferences. My question is why does MU want out of big 12 so bad ? It is one thing to run behind the texas schools but to also be behind the Kansas schools! Wish them well they are like the crack head that tells his parents if he moves away and finds new friends he will get clean. LMFAO

You are a true fan. Congrats. To think I had to wait for my team to win a NC to get a DVD.
